On a Saturday like today...

How are you doing? 

Well, I went shopping today and I bought a whole bunch of stuff…  Actually, I’ve just exchanged my bowtie for a tie, bought a USB port multiplier(?!) and as a bonus I bought myself a microphone!  Why?  Well, I want to start live meetings on FB and perhaps start re-doing podcast… Remember when I did a couple of web videos? I use a headset and stuff? Well now I got this stand alone mike and it seems to be working pretty damn good; maybe I’ll buy Dragon Naturally Speaking 13 but it is not compatible with Windows 10 that's what I read. We’ll see….And I can only hope that seeing that I worked at that place for about 10 years until they pushed me into this wheelchair with all their dangerous crap no one else could do, maybe a copy of such application might drop out of a truck and find its way here...*hint* Nuance people *hint*...

On a sadder note, it appears that out of all the members of my mom's family, she is the last one standing…. Her oldest sister just passed away, now of the original Aviles clan, she’s the last one standing… RIP Teresa de Jesus del Socorro… She was 88.

Good day y’all… I know I haven’t been blogging up much lately but there is a valid explanation….let me briefly tell you about it: No word processor to work with on my new computer; until now and then only for 30 days…..but let’s get back to my story…

So I have been going to MS society meetings these couple of months and well yesterday was the mother of all MS meetings: closing the financial year!

Yup, the society has a whole meeting on what happened financially last year and it is a formal meeting with “proposals” and “who seconds the motion” and boring to the old Chuck I was; but now, it seems I’m power hungry! I would like to start working for the group with a future goal of becoming president of the association. So last night I asked questions regarding first steps to take to help them out, after finishing this post I will submit my contribution to the group in hopes of one day being called “your excellency”; it’s going to happen, I will propose a motion that will force people into doing this and I will get some schlep to second that motion…

Any hoot, prior to the meeting they served a whole bunch of food that enticed me into being there next year…

Hello…

Good day folks, it’s been a while….

I’m still here, ain’t got nowhere to run, nowhere or whom to hide from… I’m just existing day by day…So why am I writing?

Cause it’s fucking cold and two (just happened now) my oldest shouldn't be a douche bag!

Temperatures out there are a brisk -24, windshield feels like -35….but it feels more like –a billionth!!

And what is the problem with my oldest? Glad you asked…

She’s an ‘OK’ kid %85 of the time, but sometimes she gets into power trip moods that she shouldn’t get into with me; a Latino father (or mother) whose word is the law of the land and nobody can contest it. Not even Jesus Christ!

My kitchen drain has been clogged up and nothing seems to have work. So I call the land lord and we agreed that they would come and look at it on Monday afternoon. I told her and she didn’t like it because no one would be here and the animals could escape. I told her that I had sat on the issue for too long and I wanted it fix, that she shouldn’t care about the animals;  “domo mea et praecepta mea”.  So I told her that she could stay if she wanted to stay but it was getting done………..I don't think she liked it...

so there, of my chest!
