My piece of heaven

Hello!

How are you? Well as my second time doing a blog with speech recognition. You don't know what speech recognition is until you try it, you have to think and talk at the same time. Once your phrase is complete you have to double check for errors. Sometimes I find it hard to think and talk at the same time. But the more I use it the more I get used to.

As I mentioned it my right arm has given up. So there's a lot of changes being done to my environment: my wheelchair is going through changes. So is my television, my phone are also going through it. I am getting a new control for my wheelchair and I don't know what for my television set and telephone. Apparently it will make my life easier. I also get a person to come and feed me everyday. I have been also eating soccer everyday. I am rooting for Brazil all the way!

An ex-colleague of mine got in touch with Nuance and they will be shipping me the Dragon software. He follows my blog, I guess several people do including a person from Mexico. I am very grateful for his gesture. Ever since I got on the wheelchair a lot of people have been very kind to me even though I'd don't deserve it. Now if some one can get me a couple of World Cup tickets, plane and hotel included, this would be really nice.

I wonder if speech recognition works in French too? Let's try it!

Board for a ses and not been to those. She would agree with Buckley.

I guess not. I would have to train it in French to be able to work.

Well that's it for me today. See you next time.

I forgot the queen is in Canada. I saw her on the TV, she has beautiful clothes and hats. Man I wish I was the queen...scratch that, I'd didn't mean it. But if I had the choice between walking or being the queen, let's just say it would be a hard decision... I love hats!

Well I'm still blogging while the game beginnings. I'm really getting good at this. I should have started earlier, I would be a wizard with speech recognition now.

VR 2

Hello!

How are you guys? Well I'm back, and I will be tackling different issues. So where did we left off? I guess I will start fresh and let you know why happened.

My good arm gave out, I wasn't able to blog and I I’m getting help eating but I'm getting better. I can now use speech recognition because of my father's day gift. I am getting good at this.

So what did I do this winter? What did I do this spring?

Well my daughter got me into hockey again, playoffs time! I haven't seen hockey in a while. I rediscovered what a Canadian fan is. I am proud of her. I'd didn't know I still had it. I will buy some tickets for next season and send my wife and daughter there.

Soccer! My little brother, Andres, got me into it. Now I’m following World Cup 2010, Go Brazil!

This blog took me a couple of days to complete, I think I will only do blogs when it’s important, this one I had to do to show I was alive.

I am using Vista’s speech recognition, is not bad but I’m sure there’s other applications that are better. Dragon comes to mind, heck I used to work for the company that makes it and they gave me a free copy but I’ve lost it. I’m sure that this application is better but needs more memory and I only got one Gig.

Well the nurse came today and did nurse things. Everybody from the CLSC has been nice to me. They do a superb job!

I wonder if speech recognition recognizes foul language. Let's try it!

Four Q (fuck you), it should (eat shit), as for (asshole), fuck Le (not Le but me)... I guess not!

OK that will be all for me today, take care of yourselves.

This is a new beginning

Hello!

I am doing speech recognition! Hopefully I will be blogging again!

It's been awhile since I last did this, I will try my best to practice and get used to this. Where do I begin?

Well the World Cup is on and I watch it every day, I am happy that France and Italy got eliminated. I really don't like them. Also, I miss using the computer everyday and for father's day I got a headset so I can start speech recognition. It's working OK, but I have to get used to it.
