Help me or I'll sue

Hello!

Good something to you folks!

Yes, I am late! Once again it had to do with my bath and my laziness to turn on the computer, okay I'm sorry the computer is always on... I was just lazy.

I thought I wasn't going to write anything today but a tidbit on the news made me realize that here in Canada although we're a modern society, we still live with antiquated rules and regulations. Apparently there was this mother suing her children because she lived under the poverty line and her kids don't help her out all. She already won the case once, but she wanted to increase what her kids give her a month. Right now the lady is getting $10 dollars a month from each of her kids (!!!). The kids don't want to give her anything because apparently the lady abandoned them when they were children. I'm not taking any sides here, I'm just stating the facts. I know that in my case we have a similar situation but my older brother has stepped up to the plate and taking care of my mother financially as well as physically, my youngest brother helps physically. I cannot help them because I'm sick myself, but this is something that to a Latin American family comes naturally. Your folks get old, you help. I mean this is the woman that took care of me when I was a child, so why shouldn't I help her? Apparently Canada has a law that allows elderly moms and dads to sue if they don't get any help from their offsprings. Obviously there's certain people that are up in arms against it but there's other ones that defend the ruling. I don't know people, I think to me it would come naturally to help my mother financially if it wouldn't put burden on my family... Or my credit card debt too, see if MasterCard would agree that I don't pay for a whole year while I take care of my mother, that would be awesome!

Take care people!

PS there are other people that help my mother physically, my older brother pays all of this stuff. But then again is a record producer and makes gazillion dollars a month... Kidding, he has it tough like everybody else but he still manages.
