Hello!
I did it folks, I did it!
Remember a couple of posts ago I mentioned that I was going to jump ship? Well I did! At least for two of my services with Bell. As of October 14 my Internet and my telephone number will be taking care of by videotron and boy are they cheaper than Bell! For the two services I will be seeing a price reduction of about $70 dollars. I already canceled my Internet service but according to Bell's rules and regulations, and I'm pretty sure with most of the companies these days, I have to give a 30 day notice... what does this mean? It means that Bell is going to charge me until October 29th for the Internet service. But get this, here's the kicker, when I spoke with the canceling department they were so sad to let me go that they offered me Internet service, the same one I have, for the unheard of amount of $20 dollars a month!! Now why didn't they do this before? I wouldn't have looked anywhere else, instead they bug me and hassle me for a modem that I don't have. Well, I told the lady that I was happy with the Internet but not with the customer-service I had gotten from them and that it was too late anyway because I already had signed with the other company.
Now the only service I have left with Bell is the TV, I would have changed it to but last time I did a swap between Star Choice and Bell, people at my household got up in arms because the channel lineup had changed and they had to learn the numbers again. So I learned from past mistakes not to tangle with the essential services... don't worry my phone number won't change as for the Internet, my e-mail won't change either... that's why I bought a domain name so that I can be reached @guzman.ca any time, from anywhere. So babye Bell, it was nice knowing you and I'm sorry that things didn't worked out between you and me. Now I will start to work on my family so that we can switch the TV services from Bell to anybody else...
Take care folks!
