Hello!
Good whatever people, hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Well another week is gone, another month as well. This morning I am using voice-recognition again, my wife connected my headset back so I could blog a bit.
It's funny how now I rely on my wheelchair and my headset to replace my legs and hands, I don't know how I did it before, believe it or not there was a time I used to stay in bed all day long until my wife came back from work. Then I got my wheelchair and it became my legs, not perfect legs granted but legs nevertheless. Then when my hands started to falter, an old colleague of mine suggested voice-recognition next thing you know I got my hands back. Thank God for technology, thank God that I live in a country where all of this is accessible to me.
So last night I was doing homework with my small one when she suddenly asked the question "Dada what is 15+9?". What?? This is basic first-grade if not second, why are you asking this question? You should know this by now! Needless to say I went on a rampage about how she could do better in school or at least try, "Dada I meant 15x9!". Let me see your homework, it says here 305x9. Why are you asking 15x9? So I told her the answer but then I called her sister to the floor to show her how multiplications were done, I asked my oldest one to write down on paper the table of five. Her answer left me in a state of shock. What do you mean you don't know what 5x9 is? You are in seventh grade, secondary one, you are supposed to know this! What are they teaching you at school? This is unacceptable! Then a soft voice came from her, "At school we use a calculator, it's called technology".
As I said before, thank God for technology and smart Alec kids!
See you soon people.
