PVR blues

Hello!

How's it going so far?

Something funny happened today, I guess this happens to people who have been watching normal TV all their life and suddenly you get a PVR, something that's supposed to change your life forever but unless you use it, it's just another TV receiver.

So today in the midmorning we were watching another movie called "The mummy", my wife was really hooked on it so much so that she was going to cancel her day of work. She kept on blaming me for having found a great movie to see but she had to go to work, she was postponing her job doing odd things while still seeing the movie. Then at the end she gave up and basically said fuck it, I'm the boss I might as well cancel my day. Then a light bulb went on inside my head: "We got a PVR!?! Don't we?". Then we decided to record the rest of the movie so that we may see it later on.

This goes to show you that I'm still quite new at this PVR thing, it really doesn't click yet that I can stop the program I am seeing or that I can record one movie, or program, and see it later. I'm such a putz, why did I get the service anyway if I'm not going to use it properly? I guess technology for me is too complicated, maybe I should have stayed with the old receiver and program my life around the TV schedule and not the other way around.
