Hello!
Good day folks!
Being the married guy that I am, I have learned (with time) that there are certain rules that I must respect when it comes to the opposite sex. I'm pretty sure that most of us guys who are married or have a girlfriend use the Cesar Milan rule: no touch, not talk, no eye contact. And I'm fine with that, I basically eliminated everything that has boobs and talks, I mean this is real life, with real people, I wouldn't like my wife to mingle with the opposite sausage. So I'm okay with this rule!
But lately, this rule has become also applicable to the electronic world! Really?! But they are 0s and 1s! I will probably never meet them. A case comes to my mind that happend not so long ago, Friday the 14 of October to be exact, I got an invitation in Facebook from someone I really don't know who the beep it is or how she got my name, notice I'm claiming it's a her because my wife got her feathers ruffled. Endgame is that I accepted the invitation, so did a family member from my wife. Well, let's just say it didn't sit pretty with my wife that I had accepted this person as a friend. She started telling me how dumb I was for having accepted her, that she only had two friends so far: a relative and me! She went on about how I didn't care about security, how she still had family in Mexico and what if this person was a kidnapper and wanted to harm her. Well, I started thinking that it was my own persona and that she didn't have the right to dictate who was my e-friend and what I did in the e-world. Heck, I could be married with Megan Fox and have four children for all I care, it's electronically, it's not real! I mean, I say my name is Chuck but what if my real name is Paco? It's a free world, at least on the Internet side of it, if I want to befriend a Satan worshiper, it is my right to do so! Well that's my two cents regarding freedom of association on the Web...
Funny, that person I'm talking about has most of my wife's family members in Mexico as friends now!
