The cancer lie

Hello!

Good day to you all...

You know I had to go back on my blog today to make sure I hadn't posted this yet and no, this is something that's completely new.

Yesterday in the evening I got a call from a concerned parent regarding my youngest daughter and her presence at the birthday party she's been invited on this Saturday. She wanted to make sure that she was going to be in attendance and was asking about her health. I thought it had to do with the events that happened on Tuesday where my daughter had fallen and she had to be brought back home. No, it wasn't this! She was calling to find out how was Hanah going to make it to the birthday party on Saturday seeing that she was going to be operated on Friday...??? WTF?! I wasn't aware of this I told her, she also wanted to know how was Hana's cancer on her leg doing ...!!???!!?? I wasn't aware that she had cancer either. The lady told me that my daughter had told her friend, the lady's daughter, that she had said she suffers from cancer on the leg and that she was going to be operated on Friday! I told the lady that this wasn't the case, perhaps because of the lack of French my daughter suffers from she chose cancer is a word to describe her leg "injury". I told her that she was going to be there and that my daughter was healthy as a horse.

I then started thinking about the lies that Hana's father had said throughout his childhood and how he had single-handedly killed his father in an accident, put his aunt in a coma, made his mother buy a Lear jet airplane and promised marriage to someone just to break it up afterwards because he fell in love with somebody else... I'm not proud of this people, I was a compulsive liar so the kid has somewhere to take it from... but I had a chat with her yesterday telling her that she didn't need to lie because she was going to exclude herself from relationships. I told her that if she didn't know the words in French, she should just say that she was okay and that her mother and father were taking care of her boo-boo.

Kids! They will come up with anything to get sympathy from the crowd... take care folks!
