Chuck the biker
Stop the presses!
It appears that women do have a weak spot for bad boys!
Today my bath person was a woman and she started to wash my face with a cloth when she suddenly let out the phrase:
- "The bad boy image suits you fine! I like that on you."
What?! I'm a wuss, the beard is long because I haven't had the time to trim it, okay I've been lazy and I haven't asked my wife, so I look like somebody you wouldn't like to meet at night in a dark alley. Really, and because I'm on wheels she probably thinks I'm some sort of biker guy. It's the first time that somebody tells me that the bad boy image works for me. Interesting, then she started asking about the girl who was here when she came in, it was my wife! She thought she was my oldest daughter!! What gives?! Am I like an old geezer? I told her that it was my wife and I asked her if I looked like an old person, she told me no, that it was just that my wife looked very young. Oh crap, yet another women hitting on her! Wait! Maybe she was hitting on me and I was too dumb to see the signs....oh well, maybe next life time dear....
So apparently the bad boy image is good for me, I don't think I'm going to trim my beard anymore. I rather the cops stop me for my credentials than to look like a wuss all my life, I'll change my name to mad jack or something to fit my image....
So long people!
It's not me it's you
How are we today?
I have to clarify two things, the first one is that when I put a fast post on my blog is because I'm about to get a visit or I'm about to do something that requires me to post something fast. The other thing is that I like to apologize to all good Bell technicians, such as my ex-colleague, for ranting about useless persons that consider themselves technicians... On with the show!
Yesterday the Bell technician came, he was the roughest toughest best technician out there according to him, 15 years as a technician with Bell and he had seen it all. So eventually the first thing he said to me when he came in through the door was: "it's your TV!"
WTF? How did he know that, he hadn't even looked at it but with all the years of experience he had behind him he knew what the problem was before he even diagnosed it. I told him that I too had come to believe that but when you would press the menu button you would get a proper image. He kept on arguing that when the TV shows blurry images it's usually time to change the TV. I kept on insisting that this wasn't the case because if you would press the menu button you get a proper image... This went on for a while until I convinced him to test it. He started to change the cables, he even use an HDMI cable and then he had the bright idea to put my convictions to rest: he was going to try my PS3 and show me that it was my TV. Wrong move fellow, the PS3 worked like a charm! He was convinced that it was my PVR that was at fault and he had to replace it.
Once the new PVR was installed my TV worked like a charm and he kept on popping excuses left and right on why he had thought it was my TV at fault, how it was the first time in his lifetime he had seen such a problem and how humans always learn something new every day.
Okay, tell me all the excuses out there they are all valid what is not valid was the way you came in to my house and immediately assume that the problem was my TV. It's not like I'm a moron that doesn't know anything, I was a technician myself once and if I don't understand something I rather troubleshoot it first before giving my opinion on what the problem is.
All this to say that my TV is working properly now and that I hope it's the last time I have to deal with a Bell technician in my house... No offense
Take care people!

The clumsy gene
I was thinking about my life and how genetically fucked up I am...
Now I have this thing that I do inadvertently, without thinking, it comes as a second nature to me. I'm talking about clumsiness. It is amazing how many times I have screwed up a message, a feeling, a phrase or plain and simple I have just screwed it up real bad. I have mentioned on this blog about incidents where I'm supposed to say something like:
- "I'm sorry about your mother's death"
Instead I have come up with stuff like:
- "I hope you bring back good news from the funeral"
Really! This has happened to me, but it doesn't end there. There are events where I screwed up royally: a.k.a. the birthday of my wife. It's true! A couple of years ago I completely forgot about it. I was talking to my mother and she asked me how was my wife, I told her that she was okay. She then asked me how was her day so far, I told her it was okay and I asked her why. There was dead silence at the end of the line and then she told me words that I will never forget "it's her birthday son!". WTF??! I then proceeded to say happy birthday to my wife but it was too late to damage had been done, she didn't stay mad for long she's a good sport.
Now why am I telling you all of this? Well because I think that the clumsy gene didn't skip a generation. My oldest daughter seems to be suffering from it. Today she mixed up the AC adapters for a couple of my MS related toys.. Now I have to wait until they get back here to see if she didn't blow up any of them. They're pretty expensive, I'm looking at $12,000 dollars for one and $4000 dollars for the other one...
These are the moments where God really does exist....
Take care folks!
No touch no talk no eye contact
I cannot see Cesar Milan! My TV still broken, the technician hasn't arrived yet! You know, these guys are good for charging you money but when it comes to getting services from them, F. You! Don't they know that I'm in the middle of training my dog? If she flunks its all Bell Canada's fault!
Here's a tidbit of news regarding my MS...
I have mentioned in my past posts that I am getting stronger from my arms, my voice and my torso. Since yesterday I have noticed that I can lift my left leg back on the wheelchair's leg support! Yay me!! It seems to be getting a bit stronger, so now I can extend my left leg and bring it back to the support at will, thing that I couldn't do. Before if my left leg would fall from the leg support I was screwed, I had to wait for a spasm or somebody to come by and I would tell them to put back the leg on its support. Now, I can do it myself! I told this to my wife and she was rather nonchalant about it telling me that it was only for a while, but eventually it was going to get worst. Well thank you very much Mrs. doom and gloom!! She's just worried because I tell her all the time that if I start walking again I'm just going to keep on going and going and going, until they can no longer see me. Nah, I know she's right that my illness is going to get worst but she could have at least say something positive like: "wow! You'll be able to kick a soccer ball soon!" Hey, but I don't listen to negative persons, for all I know I'll be dancing soon...
Take care folks!
PS you should hear how excited she gets over recovering alcoholic people...
PS PS I really didn't mean that to be a joke, my brother is a recovering alcoholic....
PS PS PS Ah fuck it! Just shoot me, sometimes I think I deserve it!
My TV, Vancouver and this weather.
How are we doing today?
Sorry for the delay I had my usual bath plus my TV is on the Fritz, crappy image, good sound... Bell Canada yet again!
I hate blogging about this because one of my Facebook friends and ex-colleague of mine works as a Bell technician and he was reading my blog last time and told me whenever I had problems to give him a shout. Well I'm not going to do that I felt rather embarrassed to put down his company. But once again it's Bell that I'm having problems with, so a technician is going to come between 12 PM and 5 PM. Dear Lord when will this ever end?!
Yes, I have a new background image. Well it all started with the Medrano group. I told you about how someone related to me started this group called Casa Medrano and I befriended a couple of people regarding our genealogy tree and one thing led to another and I became friends with them. Then out of the blue, on Facebook, I get this message that one of my friends from the Casa Medrano has a blog, interesting. So I went to check it out and I was baffled, it was very professional made my blog look like a first grade drawing of a dog. I felt like a kindergarten student whose eyes had just been open to the world. Now granted, she has all of her physical abilities, I think, while for me just taking a picture is a whole ordeal. But nevertheless kudos to her and her blog. It is about discovering Vancouver, another great city from Canada, not as great as Montréal but a decent city nonetheless. I'm joking, it's a beautiful city specially now that they made that hockey finals putting them against the Boston Bruins, so it's us against them. Go Canada go!
This week is going to be a scorcher! It's going to be humid and hot, my dog was actually barking while I was having my bath because the curtain was half open and the sun was hitting her while she lay inside a crate (she's put in a crate while I take a bath). Wednesday the day I'm going to be going over to the CMR it's going to be 36°C! Thank God my AC is working fine and dandy and we have to put the one for my daughter up there this weekend.
Hot hot hot! |
Take care people, see you soon!
PS My relative with her blog has her own domain name too! I got one but all I can think of is to redirect it to my blog... What a loser I am!

Hey, life happens!
All I can say is that life is beautiful and hold surprises at every corner you turn....
Enjoy it!
UEFA theory
How is my e-friens this fine day?
Did you see the UEFA cup on saturday? What happened?? I'm still convince that big sporting events are pre-arranged and that game prove it even more for me! Barcelona is a good team but MANU is better than what I saw on Saturday, Barcelona was running circle around them and can somebody tell me where was "El Chicharito", the guy never showed up to play the game!!! It was a sad event that led me to believe even more on my conspiracy theories!!
Take care people!

The CMR visit I forgot
Here's hoping you have a very wonderful weekend!
Well it's the weekend, my girls just left for the dog trainer so they can get a recap of what the dog learned this week. Gives me time to blog a little.
Yesterday I had a visit from the CMR's ortho something or other, we had agreed on meeting that I completely forgot and she knew this by the look on my face when she came in. She presented herself and she started giving me her sale pitch. She noticed that my voice was really strong unlike what she had heard at the CMR. I told her that when they came and saw me back in winter my voice was weak in the afternoon and they noticed it thus the reason why they had raised a flag but now it was a completely different ballgame. I was stronger and I don't think I needed her services, but she insisted next week on Friday she's gonna drop by with a personalized plan of action that includes breathing techniques as well as singing. That's right, she wants me to sing once in a while in my house, alone, like a fruitcake! I guess she's the specialist!
I'm happy that somebody started the group on Facebook regarding the family name Medrano, I have exchanged with them some information so far but I really haven't gotten anything tangible to help me advance my family tree. I know, be patient right? I got time, I got a shit load of time (I hope) so I'll wait until something new comes along.
Happy weekend people!

My un-ending problems
What the hell?!
Bell Canada, the phone/TV/Internet company, has gone loopy!
This week I had several issues with the giant company that seemed to be hiring anybody they find on the streets! The first issue was calls, that's right many calls, where Accounts Receivable would call my house and ask for people I don't even know! My daughter answer one of these calls and came to ask me if Susan Mercier lived in the house, I told her if she had ever seen her. WTF? Really? I can expect this from a total stranger but from my own daughter?! Come on, you know who lives here! Mommy, your sister, yourself and I! We got no Susan, the dog's name is Olivia for crying out loud!
Then the second issue I was supposed to get a visit from a technician so I can put down to rest the famous issue of fib 25/fib 16, did the guy ever show up? No! Instead I got another mail telling me they were going to charge me $75 dollars if I didn't return the modem. What?! I don't have any other modem except the old one! The fib 25 modem never stayed here because the technician claimed that I couldn't have fib 25! So I called Bell, yet again, and this time I wanted to cancel my Internet account! Lo and behold, I must up hit the right key because they cancel the stupid modem return letter! Now I don't know if I have fib 25 or fib 16, at this point I really don't care just as long as they don't overcharge me or bug me with another letter.
Well at least it's over right? No! Not for one second! The phone rings today and I don't reach it in time, Bell calling and they left a message. I picked up the message and it's a machine telling me that tomorrow they will cut my line off where I live and replug my number somewhere else! What, WHat, WHAT??!! Arrrggghhh! Here I go again calling Bell! So a person answered and I told her my problem, you would have think that she would understand and just canceled the freaking work order right? No, this is Bell! You're going to get your job done whether you like it or not! It took me about 10 minutes for her to believe me that I never placed a call asking them to move my line somewhere else!! She finally canceled the work order and hopefully tomorrow I will still have my number!
Who's running the show up there? Ronald McDonald?
Take care folks!
The father I never met
Well we have crappy weather and as of Sunday it's going to get humid and warm, we're talking temperatures of +35° and it would be cool if it was sunny but no, it's going to rain yet again!
Well somebody had the bright idea of starting a page on Facebook regarding the family root name Medrano and as far as I can tell it's only people whose family name is Medrano or they are somehow related to that name. I am in, my mother's family name is Aviles Medrano. They have invited me in so I'm going to start picking brains left and right to get more information for the family tree, I already posted a general message requesting information on my grand aunt of whom I have very little information except that one of her grandsons was a music representative for the singer Carlos Vives in Colombia. Plus if they have any other additional information I would be thrilled!
Today I was seeing old pictures of when I was able to walk, when I still walk with a walker and when I used to lay down on my own bed, it was sad. But I didn't let it get to me, I started seeing other pictures, rare pictures, of my father and us. It's a shame that we never got to know him, granted we lived with the guy but it was like living with a family pet: he really didn't talk to us. I don't have many memories of him, but I can say is that he never really wanted a relationship with us, be it because my mother didn't allow this or because he just didn't like us. I can vouch for my brothers and I that we are completely different than he was in that aspect, that we participate in our sons and daughters education as well as in their lives, something that he didn't do even with his grandkids. Maybe it was because I smell bad, I don't know, but it would have been cool to have some positive memories of the guy.
Take care people, enjoy life while you're still in it!
The T-shirt incident
How are we doing?
Well today was a major milestone with me and my illness, well at least I thought it was, I was able to put on a shirt by myself. I know, you do it every day right? Well not me most of the time my torso is naked unless I remember to ask someone to put a T-shirt on me. Today, I felt adventurous, I took the T-shirt put it on and then I set up straight lowering the rest of the T-shirt on my body. I like this, the more independent I get the better I feel... Now if I could only start walking that would be a plus!
I called my Nana this morning and she still has a very high pitch voice because of a throat infection, apparently. She is not taking any medication for it and I was thinking that it may be related to the operation. Remember that this was a brain operation so if by taking the tumor out this became a side effect, I don't know if she's going to like it. She still believes it is a throat infection I have to discuss this with my brothers to find out if this is it or is there something deeper in there that my Nana is not aware of, I'll guess we'll find out.
I'll post you later people!

Finger life, finger |
It's amazing what you can do when you are required to act fast because the lives of many rest upon your shoulders.
I've been living in this country for 35 years and everything that I have, everything that my brothers have, I owed it all my to mother (my brothers too). This lady protected our lives from danger by moving here, she sheltered us, put food on the table and kept us safe for 35 years, actually for 40 odd years. I never was deprived of anything, whatever her kid wanted her kids got. Ask me about the $800 dollars synthesizer I got, the $50 dollar running shoes -back then it was a shit load of money-, the drum set, the two electric guitars, the amplifiers... and I could go on for a long time here. These were my toys, I am not counting the numerous trips we had to Plattsburgh New York or the trips we took to Florida on a short notice because the teachers were on strike, we even went to Mexico by car! This woman really made our lives a walk in the park, she gave us the best thing any mother could give her kids: Time!
Now that I have kids of my own I realize that this is a very hard thing to do, food, shelter, gadgets, vacations and always keeping a smile even though inside your crumbling. So when I reflect on this I realized that I have a super mother, one that put her kids ahead of herself so that one day they would do the same.
From all of us |
Thank you mom and happy birthday Guapa!
Big Mac for lunch and the unexpected nap
Sorry about the delay, blame it on the rain, the big Mac and the dog whisperer.
My little brother surprised me today and brought big Mac trios for his family and me, I haven't eaten a big Mac in a long time. Then I was seeing the Dog Whisperer and I stayed on the National Geographic channel where there was an interesting show about construction and I fell asleep! Then I was awoken by a knock on my patio door, I had forgotten completely that there was somebody from the CLSC that was gonna come this afternoon to take inventory of some gadget they had lent me but had forgotten to put a sticker on it.
Now I'm awake and I forgot the interesting stuff I wanted to blog about today. I hate it when that dog guy shows up and puts me to sleep, he's good!
Oh well, I'm sure it's gonna come up again and then I'll blog about it right away!
Take care people, see you soon!
PS I think I'll blog about my mother after all it's her special day.
Idiots surround me
Here's hoping you have a beautiful one!
Today is my mother's birthday and she has invited by kids for supper, she also said she was going to send me some food. I already call her to wish her a happy birthday, I hope she has a wonderful day.
Yesterday night my wife was telling me about the building fire alarms that have happened over the last days, so far we had three. This means that the landlord is going to be getting three fines and there's nothing she can do about it, I don't even know if she charges these fines to the people who were responsible for triggering the alarms. My wife found out about it and she told me the reasons for it:
- The first alarm was due to a guy having a shower and this guy doesn't believe in shower curtains because in his country they don't use that (?!!). So the water filtered into the ceiling below and triggered the fire alarm.
- The second fire alarm was a similar case.
- Now the last fire alarm yesterday morning was due to some bimbo toasting bread in the oven and forgetting about it. But that's not what trigger the alarm, what triggered the alarm was that she opened her door so all the smoke that was inside her apartment escape setting off the fire alarm which made the fire department come here.
Now the first two alarms where due to some schmucks not adapting to this country's rules, they are not the only ones. If you pick up the newspaper you will see tons of articles about honor killings and other nonsense which in Canada is not permitted. I think that if you move from your country to any country in the world you must respect their rules and customs, remember it is you that wanted to move in the first place, the country didn't call you. (And I'm a freaking immigrant!!!)
Now the third fire alarm I still don't get it, you have smoke in your apartment why not open the balcony doors, the Windows, the freaking kitchen bell to let the smoke out and then open the door?!? This is good living 101 for crying out loud! You know the building has fire detectors, so why open the freaking front door?! Seriously? I call that being an idiot. So now the landlord has to pay three fines and there's nothing she can do about it.
That's the fire alarm issue people, take care!

My TED afternoon
It was an interesting after lunch today, I spent a couple of hours looking at videos, sorry TED talks, some of them were funny and some of them made me think about what life is.
One that made me think and I cannot help it since a couple days ago I posted a note on my Spanish blog about life and how all of our beliefs/ourselves follow a one-way road to oblivion. I mean, I am here today but gone tomorrow, it is sad, I understand, but it's the reality of life and if we were immortals think of how boring it would be. I wouldn't like my kids to wish me a happy 800 years super great grandpa. At the beginning of my life I was always reflecting on my impending end and it used to freak the fuck out to me! Now as time has passed and I have matured, I see it as something that must happen for life to continue. Then to cheer myself up I found a video that basically describes what our society is today. If you haven't seen this video you must click on this link, I promise it is hilarious. Some of you, including myself, will relate to it and will realize how true it is.
Hey! Today is our sunny day, it looks very beautiful outside and one my youngest daughter comes from school I will tell her to put me out there so I can benefit from the rays of the Sun, I hear the next following days that are coming our way are crappy!
You've gotta take what is given to you!
Take care folks!
The fire alarm
How are you doing this morning/afternoon?
This morning was a hectic start of a day, fire alarm went off in the morning setting the beat for what appears to be a day that was going really fast!
It was six forty-five this morning when the dumb building fire alarm started going off, my daughters kept up there cool, looking through the patio door to see if anybody had gone out. Yes, there was a crowd of pissed off people that were waking up to a fire alarm gone haywire! Then there was a knock at the door, I thought it was the fire department coming to take me out but it wasn't, it was the so-called "administrator" of the building knocking on all the doors asking people if they were cooking in their place. Apparently the fire alarm was pointing to my block, the "A." block, this building has three blocks "A., B., C.". Then 10 minutes later the fire department came to town and basically shut down the alarm after verifying that my part of the building wasn't on fire. The landlord is gonna get a fine because the fire department came along and there wasn't a fire...
During the whole fire drill thing my daughter kept on educating Olivia, in this house is very common to hear her yell "Olivia! No! Chht!" but Olivia still being a puppy doesn't really listen to her. This is the reason why I think that daddy got hosed on the whole training school thing, the only one the dog really listens to is my wife. When she talks to her, in a calm, assertive way, the dog is all ears. Cesar Milan got nothing on my wife, only two more weeks of training and my dog should get her degree and I should get a diploma for being such a gullible dad...
Take care people!

I am looking forward for tomorrow
Well my daughter is watching The Bachelorette it seems she got hooked like her mother and she will be seeing the shows every week, ugh...I hate this type of show, reminds me that at that age I partied my ass off and I was still living at my mother's and this guys have all carriers, they are all self made guys and they have the whitest teeth I have ever seen with the exception of The Survivor cast.
Olivia is growing up, she has a couple of more weeks of obedience school, I don't see any improvement but then again I don't walk the dog,
4 moths |
Tomorrow I will blog more, I promise!
Take care!
The ride from hell
Good day to you all!
Well the ride today was an experience, perhaps not for me but for the lady that got in the bus...
I'm waiting for my bus today and for some odd reason I'm waiting near the street, usually I wait for the bus near my patio door, but today I said what the fuck. I saw the bus coming my way and I started to wave at the guy because I saw that he was looking for my address, by now most of the people at the RTL (bus company) know me so they just come here to the door, but this one seemed to be new. So he got into my parking and I thought he had seen me, nope! He came out of the parking and went back to where he came from, WTF?! I called the bus company and told them their guy was completely lost, they paged him and told him where to go. I was right, the guy was new!
Then we went on to pick up somebody else, an elderly person, after looking for her address, also, the person came into the bus (the lady could still walk) and she sat down in one of the chairs designated for such people. Everything was fine so far, but then the guys took off and there was this yell coming from the back of me "hey! Stop!", the lady almost fell off the freaking chair! She hadn't put on her seatbelt and the guy didn't check either, generally the driver of the bus has to make sure that the people that sit in those chairs buckle up before he splits. The guy didn't do this I'm pretty sure that little old lady is going to call the company and complain about him... Poor bastard!
Once I got to the CMR, like always, it was an experience. First of all they weren't any room available to me, they had overbooked them so I had to go to the garage. You heard me, the garage! No skin off my nose, I was like a kid in a candy store... This is where they built the chairs, they had a couple of them in production one more beautiful than the next! Then my mechanic asked me what I needed today, so I told him that I wanted the reverse speed to be faster as well as the second speed, I also needed this and that and some more of that. The guy obliged and now my reverse speed is really cool, the second speed? It's freaking scary, this is the one I use in the streets to go from point A to point B. plus, they ordered a whole bunch of things for my chair: air cushion, a back rest, new feet rest etc.. I have to go June 1st for a tuneup and when they get their stuff I'll have to go back.
Thus the reason my first post is late!
Take care people!

Looking at my weekend
Good day to you all!
As I said on my post of the weekend it was a beautiful weekend, I had a lovely breakfast with my brothers and cousin and we talked for a couple of hours (on the patio) about my mother and my Nana, this of course while having Salvadoran/Mexican/Jewish breakfast.
2011 T&B |
The crew and me |
We were talking about how my mother is going to need more permanent care then what she's getting right now. I know we could approach the CLSC for help but believe it or not she needs even more help than that. My mother has always been a very "dictating" person, it has always been her away or no way, so getting somebody from the CLSC is not gonna cut the cake. Granted, when my mother helped or gave her friendship to somebody it was all the way, but when she asked for something it was everything or nothing. But she still my mother and I love her and we must therefore come up with some sort of solution. Tomorrow I will contact the CLSC to see what they can offer, perhaps get a case person (social worker) to look up for solutions with the clinic. All of this was discussed Saturday under blue skies and a sunny morning. I did find it a bit sad that we came to the conclusion that eventually my mother will no longer be there, then I realized that all of us are going the same direction, I even wrote a post in Spanish about how ideologies become obsolete and follow the same way a person is heading... Yes, it's sad.
But I'd don't want to rain on your parade, so I'll blog about something else.
My nephew came with his hair machine and he shave my head off, what a relief! I am now ready for the summer, I'm also including in this post a couple of pictures that my sister-in-law took of the get-together, as I said, it was really really nice, I even got a tan on my face, my arms, my freaking legs! So on my side all the birthdays have gone through we are only missing the one of my wife in August. My little brother has one coming up in June (actually he has two), then is my oldest brother's birthday he is going to be the big 4-7, he's getting old! Then it's all downhill from there, there's 3 in August, 2 in October, 2 in November, let's not talk about December... And the whole freaking circles starts again!
Any hoot, I have an appointment with the CMR tomorrow for a new cushion, my control of the chair is broken, I also want them to change the automatic speed (take the freaking thing out), it's going to be an hour and a half worth of meetings at the CMR. Let's hope the base nice...
Any hoot take care people!

Summer is officially here
Good day people!
Well my summer has officially begun, yesterday I had breakfast with my family and the day was so beautiful we had it outside on the patio. After that my girls and I went to the dog trainer where he finalized the second week of training and once again I can tell you that daddy got hosed! When returning we went shopping for material so that my wife could put up my air conditioner, task completed my air conditioner is up and running. But while shopping I saw they also had specials on air conditioners, $97 dollars!! So I got one from my daughter and I will be returning next weekend to purchase one for my other daughter, plus I also have to buy the additional stuff such as isolation, electric extensions, plastic boards etc...
Today, we had the second party for my daughter my in-laws came and we had guaraches with another cake that my wife made. It was another divine day, at the end of the morning, my girls went to La Ronde (a Six Flags amusement park) as well as my sister-in-law which we just found out that she's pregnant, so little J. is going to have a brother or a sister!
This is great news!
Well see you tomorrow folks when we're going to be celebrating Queen V.'s day! Oops I meant Patriots' Day...

A wheelchair makeover
Good something people!
I am sorry my electric friends for being late, I had an appointment at the CMR (the wheelchair people) my chair was making a funny noise when backing up so I made an appointment. Well the change both motors now the chair has superpower and I can use speed 1 to go around on the streets, before I had to use 2 or even 4! Plus they did some adjustments here and there and now it feels like a new chair again.
This afternoon the Bell tech is coming to make sure that I have fib 16 and I'm pretty sure that they wanted to make sure that I don't have the modem that they claim I have.
Folks speech recognition is pupu caca today, my wife has left me a fan in the room and my microphone is picking up the sound of it and it's thinking twice before it writes down what it hears, also it's rather slow to figure out what I'm saying in this weekend I will probably be putting the air-conditioned so it's going to be noisier and speech recognition is going to be crappy.
So what you think about the zombie post I put yesterday? Them Americans are really nutty!
Take care folks!

U.S. government outlines zombie apocalypse plan - CTV News
And we are known as the crazy Canucks??!! (Yet another French thing...ouch!)
We are one giant f_up family
Well well well, I had forgotten that next Monday is a legal holiday here in Canada, we are celebrating some Queen or other but here in QuĂ©bec, and this I'm not sure, we are celebrating Patriots' Day. Now now, don't you Americans get your hopes high, this is a whole dispute that happened in the 1800s between the QuĂ©bec's bourgeoisie and the Canadian bourgeoisie. We have changed the name to this day several times here in Quebec, we used to know it as Queen Victoria's day, then it became la FĂªte de Dollard and now it is known as Patriots’ Day (to honor the rebellion against the British in 1837). We'll probably change the name again some other time to fit our national mood... But what counts is that it's going to be a day off except in the Atlantic provinces where they probably celebrate some other day, such as the national lobster day. Oh come on!! Where's your sense of humor? You can make fun of me or of my ethnic group, see if I care! (It's not like I'm saying a Newfie joke).
Here in North America, besides those Mexican bandidos, we were populated by the British and the French. Obviously I am on the French side of things, we don't really care about the Queen or monarchy, and the rest of Canada apparently hates us because we are from the French side of town (Where the love is). Unlike Americans that kicked the monarchy a long time ago, English Canada still has some emotional things with the Queen... This is a crash course in North American history and Canada's holidays.
Anyways, have a great day people!
PS the whole thing came about because my bath guy called me to let me know that next Monday he won't be coming in since it's a legal holiday and now English Canada hates me! Americans should have invaded us a long time ago...oh wait! They did and we kicked their ass back below the 49th parallel...sorry Charlie...(Now they hate me too)
I'm single to mingle...no not me!
One of my nephews has changed his status in Facebook, he has gone from "in a relationship" to "single". Dude, bummer you got dumped! I'm pretty sure he's just playing the change status game, hell why I've been divorced so many times it's not even funny. I'm sure he's going to change it back pretty soon...
Oops I did it again....Next month my car's papers are up for renewal, idiot me lost part of the paper that was meant for me to pay at the bank. So I called today to find out what I needed to do and they told me that they were going to send me a new registration form, and the following are his words, that God willing the post office wasn't going to go on strike and I would be receiving the new papers shortly. The post office on strike?!? Holy shit Batman, this is something I wasn't counting on.!? You see if I don't get the new registration I won't be able to sign-up for monthly payments, I will have to pay the whole thing in one shot. I know it doesn't sound like a lot, $264 dollars, but I rather pay the monthly fee of $22 dollars and keep the rest in my pockets... I know I know, what about the interest, right? To hell with the interests, it sounds better $22 dollars than $264 dollars.
That being said...
It is official, this Saturday we are having a get-together at nine o'clock in the morning for a continental breakfast! Yeah right, the people will kill me if I don't feed them a decent breakfast, scramble eggs, bacon, sweet beans, coffee, OJ and bagels and cream cheese... No we're a family of toasted bagels in the morning with cream cheese. I have also asked my oldest nephew to bring his cutting device so he can shave my head, it's getting to be summer so it's going to be pretty hot outside.
Maybe I'll take a picture of myself...
Happy Thursday/Friday!
Thursday at the ranch
Happy day to you people!
My wife went with my daughter to an animal store yesterday to get supplies for the dog (this is the type of store where animals are welcomed), I think this is the first time that something embarrassing has happened to my wife and kid. So they're looking around for dog food, toys and other chewing things when suddenly the dog decides that she wants to do number "2". My wife is pulling her towards the door when it happened, her face was red with embarrassment. Then a worker came by my wife and dog and told her not to worry, my wife felt better, then out of the blue my wife is given a bag and other cleaning elements: "Just clean up the mess and put it in the garbage." Kool! So this is what happens when you go to a place where the animals are welcome and they happen to have an accident, I didn't know this. A bit embarrassing but nobody looks at you bad.
My bath guy just left, thus the reason why posting so late, and he clarified the situation with my bath guy of Tuesday and Wednesday. Apparently he was giving a bath to a customer and this customer fell, he proceeded to lift him up and then went on with his day. The guy had bad luck because later on the day another customer fell and this is where his back gave out. The doctor gave him rest until June 10th, but my bath guy of today thinks that is going to go for a long time. Remember how I wrote last week about his mother having contracted the C. difficile virus and how she was going to get operated to get part of her intestines removed? Well it seems that the antivirus they used did the trick, so she's doing much better.
And this is how my thirst is going so far...
Hope you're having a wonderful person also!

Issues of my life
Well my bath guy must really be hurt because I got this girl who's going to be replacing him next week also, so I better get the computer video camera ready so I can videotape my bath with her and posted on YouTube. Now don't go all excited about finding the fat guy in a wheelchair having a bath on YouTube, it doesn't exist. I thought that you guys having such gutter brains would probably do a search for such thing. I do wish to add, that if such videotapes exist they are being placed somewhere on the net which I will not tell you the URL. Good luck finding them!
My Nana seems to be doing much better, she has been transferred to a normal room and I will probably go and visit her on Sunday. Friday is no good for me because I have an appointment at the CMR in the morning and in the afternoon some Bell Canada technician is suppose to come over so we can finally finalize the fib 16/fib 25 issue (Internet speeds) that has been lingering for over a month already.
For my daughter's birthday get-together on Saturday we are going to be having a breakfast for her at my place, this way everybody gets to do their stuff afterwards because apparently it's going to be the only freaking sunny day of the week! If she gets money as presents I will tell her to put it towards her China trip next year or her Las Vegas get away this summer.
Okay folks, that's it for me today. Have a good one!
In my humble opinion
Good something to you!
Did you see Arnold's fiasco?? Why?? Why do men cheat with uglier women??
If I was to cheat with someone I would make sure it was worth it, I mean I would want bells and whisthles here! I'm talking a model wannabe who is giving her dream up for me because she likes balding fat guys in wheelchair who she can pleased in many diff....er..I mean take care of. I want an affair so good looking that my wife is going to tell me: "Dude! That's a nice piece of ass you got there hombre! Too bad I don't like chicks." This is something I'm willing to lose everything for, not my 84 year old neighbor (and she's hot)--material for my wife's therapy.
Arnold's affair is a step down as per my criteria, I mean ever since the Bullock affair things have gone haywire! Okay, Jesse's fling was a real homerun but Sandra looks good and I think he made a wrong move when it came to affairs. The Terminator's adventure is nothing compare to Maria plus he is getting old and Maria would have been there till the end, this one?? I don't think so.
My two cents people, my two cents...

Chuck's enemy number one
Death to America! Death to ABC!
(Now that I have Homeland security's attention....)
Okay so it's not America that I have a beef against but ABC! Why? Because the idiots, sorry the people at ABC decided to cancel my show! My new show I had found and it was really hilarious!! They cancel three shows, "V", "some other dumb show" and "Better with you"! Now "V" and "the some other dumb show" I didn't care about, I saw "V" when I was a kid and I cherish the moments when we kicked ET's ass, now "the some other dumb show" I don't care about I never saw it, but "Better with you"!?! Are you freaking kidding me??! It was hilarious, my whole family liked it! Now what?! What's next?! They're going to cancel "Off the map" also?! Great, just great! Where is this country going to? Do I really have to strike-up a conversation with Obama to get things moving in the right direction?! I'll do that if that's what it takes, but I would have thought that Americans had a better funny bone than that. I'm pretty sure there's something more than just canceling the show, I'm pretty sure...
I'll make it a point in life to investigate this thing...
So sleep tight Americans, I really don't hate you, I had a lot of fun while in your country when I was a kid/teenage/adult, heck, even the strip search at O'Hare Airport was fun, it's the people at ABC that have now become my number one enemy in life. Okay, they are not that bad either, they have good shows like AFV, Extreme makeover home edition, The Bachelor, oh yeah the whole Wednesday lineup that includes Modern family. Aahhh shoot! I love everybody so I have no clue why I wrote this post...
Sweet whatever everyone!
PS I think my neighbours need Cesar Milan, their stupid dog keeps on barking all the time interfering with voice-recognition.
Stupid catheter (or maybe me)
Well I thought I was going to see a program and then have a nap, but what I decide isn't what the universe wants! The universe was out for blood, okay not blood but urine. You heard me, freaking urine. Let me explain...
There's two things that happened today that prevented me from reaching my goal (nap). The first one was that Cesar Milan was on and I couldn't pass the occasion to learn something new.
The second one was a bit more complicated. I put on the program and tilted back my chair to start seeing the event and hopefully go to nap town, suddenly on my upper right gym pants I noticed a huge wet spot. What gives? I managed to get a whiff of the pants and came to the conclusion that it was leaking. Eeeew, I have urine all over myself! Once I had gone over the disgusting phase I sprang into action! The urgency of the event require me to contact somebody. I called my little brother but he was about to go to his first day of work, no can do. Then I remembered that the CLSC had given me strict orders on what to do in case of such an event, I called my nurse and waited. Lo and behold, 20 minutes after the phone rang, it's the emergency nurse and she's coming over to check my catheter. When she got here she started asking questions: Does it hurt? How long have you had the catheter? Are you single? You know, the usual questions that could help somebody make the proper decision in life...
After examining the situation and my catheter, she came to the conclusion it was the freaking bag, it was leaking like there's no tomorrow! F U!! Now I have to call the providers of the bags because they probably sent me the defective batch. That or, and this is a real maybe, it happened when I hit my desk with the chair and my catheter "touched" the desk and went loose...
So now I'm up and running in blogging about!
Happy trails folks!
A fine particle show
I'm a bit tired today, I think I'm going to catch a real interesting TV program and fall asleep. Hey! I recorded one about fine particle dust that are flying around the air, I'll see that one I'm pretty sure I'll be out like a baby within minutes. I saw some parts yesterday with my daughter and it seemed interesting, did you know that every day we inhale a shit load of tiny diamonds and other precious metals? It's interesting what's in the air.
It seems my older brother's going to go and see my Nana this afternoon for about 10 minutes, at the present time it looks like she's going to go back home to recuperate. I'm against it because it will be 2 sick elderly persons at the household trying to take care of each other. My brother claims that it won't be like that, I sure hope so and I hope that they approach the CLSC for services that might be available to them.
Well I'm off to see my fine particle dust program, I wish you all a great afternoon or a happy evening!
It's raining again....$@##$@
Happy freaking day to you all!
No no, I'm not in a bad mood, it's just that not having seen the sun for X. numbers of days kinda gets to you! It's been rain, after rain, after rain. Now I know how the British people and the northwestern folks feel like (Vancouver, Washington, Seattle...). How do they do that? How can they live with very few hours of sun!? The only break were going to get is tomorrow, we will see a couple of hours of sun and then back to the rain again! Sucks to be us...
My older brother called me about my Nana yesterday, apparently the operation went well she was moved to intensive care and we were going to get more information today about visiting her. If everything goes well I will probably go and see her on Sunday.
Hey! Tomorrow my oldest daughter turns 13 officially, I have to get in contact with my brothers to find out what suits them best for a get-together on the weekend, either an early brunch (10-ish) or something in the afternoon. It's going to be something fast either breakfast or a quick snack seeing that everybody has to attend to either my Nana or my mother. Everybody except me and my wife, me for obvious reasons and my wife because she has to take care of me, take care of my daughters, clean the house, do this do that and now take care of Olivia, this is life people it doesn't get better than this. If I was an able person we would be in the same boat as my brothers, instead of being 2 taking care of the family it's only 1! As the T-shirt logo says: "When life gives you lemons keep them, they're free!"
Well my bath guy is probably really hurt I got another lady come on over today, she's been working at the CLSC for a couple of months only. She gave me a bath then dressed me and then took off, but why I'm writing this is because 15 minutes later she called me and said she couldn't come in to my place, I thought she had forgotten something so I told her to come by the patio door, I went to the patio door and no one was there. So then it clicked, she dialed the wrong number I immediately called her boss and told her to call the bath person so that she doesn't trigger any alarm by going through the patio door at some other guys house...
Oh well, take care people!

Closing Monday
we haven't heard anything from my Nana's operation yet, it is a wait and see game.
I forgot to mention there's a whole melodrama going on around my house with my youngest daughter, you see in fourth grade there are two vaccines that are giving to the students. She already had the first and it was somewhat painful. Now the second one is this Wednesday and she is fearing for her life, well not exactly like that but she's afraid that it's going to hurt a lot. When she gets in one of these moods it's very hard to make her change no matter what you promise. So at this point I have promised her a new toy, an ice cream at her favorite place and the movie kung fu panda 2. So I keep my fingers crossed for Wednesday and hope that everything goes well and it doesn't hurt that much.
My little brother started to work today, today was a training session and pretty soon it will be knocking on doors asking people why they haven't completed their census paper yet. I'm happy for him it will put him in a whole other mind state.
Remember I talked about the government paying for someone to come and take care of me? Well it appears is going to go down the drain because I'm in a waiting list. The best the CLSC can do is put me in a place where they are going to take care of me while my family is having fun in Vegas. But I'm still inscribed to the program, I'll keep you posted on the outcome of this.
Take care people!
IMF head to remain in jail until next court appearance - CTV News
Things that happen on a Monday
Well my Nana went in for her operation at 8:30 AM, the operation is supposed to last about seven hours and then it will be two months of recovery. I'm hoping and praying that everything will be okay.
My wife took the dog today for her training session just to find out that the place opened at 11:00 AM, I told her that Olivia is supposed to go back tomorrow morning not today. What they learned with the trainer on Saturday is some basic commands and the way that they are supposed to act with the dog when they walk her. Needless to say it is not sitting well with my daughter, to her it seems too violent, too cruel. Before I agreed to the training I told all of my girls that this wasn't going to be a walk in the park. That there was going to be something called a choker that they will probably need to learn how to use, I was right! It's not an animal cruelty thing but when the dog steps out of line you are supposed to pull on the choker and tell her no, makes her understand that this is not something that she should be doing. It's an Alpha thing, the dog has to learn that we are the Alpha leaders and she's supposed to follow the leader of the pack. Between you, me and these four electronic walls I think that this is one of those expenses that I will be bringing up in conversations on how I will never fall for another scheme like this again! Daddy got hosed again...
My bath guy came today and he went to see the movie fast and furious 5, he didn't like it it was too far-fetched he said. I told him that I was probably going to go and see kung fu panda 2, after all I'm a family man and this is the type of movie my daughters and I like. Also he was telling me about his mischievous plan to take the dog out for a poop, apparently he's going to go into a multilevel parking where the rain doesn't affect his dog. What a clever idea! But I think the security at the mall will catch up to him. After he left I noticed that he's the one who blocks my patio door, how he does it I have no idea but I already open the front door and told my brother to come in through the front door because the patio door is completely blocked and he has to help me to unblock it before my daughter comes this afternoon.
Take care people!
Summer folies
Good something to you!
Well it's official, my girls summer plans have been set!
First off all three of them will be going to Las Vegas for a week to enjoy the sun and whatever activities they have for kids out there. My wife will benefit from this trip as a well-deserved R&R plus she gets to see her cousin and her uncle who live in the states, she hasn't seen them in a gazillion years! Also my girls wanted to see the Cirque du Soleil's act named Kà , apparently it is a great show the funny part is that it's a production from the famous circus station here in Québec. Oh well, I guess they have to go to Las Vegas to see this show and perhaps win some money on the slot machines! I know what you're thinking, how am I going to survive? Well once again this beautiful country of ours has a program for every situation, they are going to be paying for a person to come take care of me while they're away. Isn't it great?! I get some time off from the girls!
This is the first part of the summer, then following the day they come back from Las Vegas they're off to summer camp! Both of them!! We will have the house to ourselve for about 10 days, imagine that! The summer camp was a program for kids whose parents have MS and guess what?! I have MS! So my kids will benefit from this program and attend summer camp. They will both be going to the same camp and will therefore have the same activities.
Well that's it for me, take care and see you soon!

From my bed to yours
Another crappy day and I hope your day is better than mine!
Having been doing much today. Before I continue let me informed you that I am blogging from my bed because I was tired and I took advantage that my family was here so I asked my wife to put me in bed before she goes and sees my Nana prior to her operation tomorrow. I'm pretty sure that all will be fine but I would like my girls to see her, I will give her a call later on today.
I had some instant Kimchi today but it wasn't that spicy, I'm almost certain that it is not the real thing because Kimchi is real spicy. I know a South Korean store in Montreal, I'm pretty sure that if anybody has it they probably do!!!
Okay, well thas it for me! Here is wishing you an exiting rest of the day!
See you later!

Saturday with little J. and the dog
Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
Well there's a couple of things I had to cancel this weekend, the 25th year reunion of my schoolmates, it was being held at a pub and usually these places are very narrow, the other one was a training with my dog that I had to attend today. I canceled the training because it is raining cats and dogs outside and I can't go inside the animal facility so maybe I'll go there next week and, Olivia still has four more weeks to go.
Today little J. graced us with an impromptu visit because his mother and my mother-in-law had things to do for about an hour or so. At the beginning he was crying because he didn't know us very well nor did he liked the fat man on the wheelchair but as the visit went on he started taking a liking to us and even watch Mexican Internet soap opera with us and to my surprise he even let me kiss him goodbye!.
Okay well that's it for me right now, I hope my girls have a good training session with the dog and her trainer.
Take care folks!
PS by the way the small clip is of little J. and my wife seeing the Mexican Internet soap opera.

Addiction runs in my veins
Glad to see Blogger still up and running!
You wanna hear what's the latest thing in my life? I'll tell you anyways!
At every lunch break I have during the week I put on the National Geographic Channel, at that time Cesar Milan the Dog Whisperer is on. I love this man! Before I didn't care for his show, I thought he was a freak, I didn't believe the stuff he was peddling. But then Olivia came into our lives and I did a couple of his tricks and they work! Wow! So I am a big follower now and every afternoon I see his show to pick up on new stuff that will help me with my dog, not to mention use the same tricks on my wife and kids (they work also). Maybe I should start my own show, "Chuck Guzman, the wheelchair dog/human whisperer".
The other thing I do, and this is when I'm in bed already, I downloaded a poker game (Zynga) and I play my ass off every night until I Comatose myself to never never land. I didn't know poker was so addictive, no wonder I have a great aunt who lost her pharmacy while playing this game, thus my grandmother forbidding it to my mother and my mother to her kids.
Take care folks!
I hate failures
Happy freaking whatever people!
Look, don't blame me for not posting today, blame Blogger from being down since yesterday! They say that when it rains it pours, they couldn't be more right than that.
First my wife and kids leave me and they take the dog with them, then while trying to post this information on the web my Internet service goes down and the last straw: freaking Blogger is down!! I tell you the universe has it against me and I don't know why! Everything that could go wrong went wrong between yesterday night and today, I was expecting more of life than this.
My wife, the kids and the dog leaving me was something that I was expecting, my wife went out to work, my kids went to school and the dog went to school also, so I guess they'll be back tonight I think this is when I'm going to lay the guilt trip on them for leaving me alone all freaking day long. I know it's not their fault, it's Blogger's fault, these people don't understand that this place has become my personal psychiatrist where I have to write every day or I will feel useless in society. Nevertheless I took a long nap in the sun, because later on it's going to rain, made a bus reservation for tomorrow so that we can go to the dog school where they will officially transfer the knowledge they have bestowed upon Olivia to us. It will be raining all freaking weekend, so it's going to be one of those weekends where you stay home and do F. all!
I need my MTV |
Anyways if you are reading this is because Blogger is back up (about freaking time!).
Take care of yourselves!

People are falling like flies and I'm getting naked with my girlfriends
Well it seems that is the month where elderly people get sick.
My bath guy came today and he started to tell me that his mother is in the hospital and they are probably going to operate her today because she has bad virus that's going around the hospitals here, C diffile. According to my bath guy they are probably going to remove part of her intestines and she will probably need a bag to poo on for the rest of her life. That sucks! I got my Nana with a brain tumor and this lady with C diffile, I guess it must be spring!
But you know what? It's not only the elderly that are getting sick, my Tuesdays and Wednesdays bath guy is TKO right now! Apparently it is a job-related injury where he was giving a bath to another guy and he made a wrong move making his back hurt severely, so I don't know if next week I will have girls to give me a bath again, I'm not complaining. You see, when a girl gives me a bath it's like a relationship, during that hour that I spend with the girl I imagine her to be my girlfriend and thus the reason for me being naked in her hands. Once the bath is finish, the relationship finishes, should she come back again to give me another bath, well she's sorry for what she did and she came back to me! Sick, no?
Take care people!
PS no, when the guys give me a bath I don't think that!

My nakedness in all its glory
Boy with all the women coming in and out of my place the neighbors must think that I'm having affairs left and right!
Today for my bath I had another woman give it to me this morning, she was pretty, but I am hands off to everyone but my wife, at least this is what I'd like her to know... To be honest I have no longer any shame when I get naked, it could be a man, it could be a woman, could be old, could be young, it really doesn't matter. When somebody tells me that they are going to get me naked I just tell them to go ahead, knock yourself out! Seriously, at the beginning I was all shy but now I don't care anymore, I guess I could be a good naked model, all they have to do is put me in the position they want and paint their ass off or snap pictures of me. It's hard to be me, this afternoon a young nurse came by to check my butt and my wiwi, no shame whatsoever! I'm not going to go into details of the visit, but she was impressed. They all are when they come and check me out, the CMR has a thing for my legs, always saying that they are beautiful legs and the CLSC enjoys seeing me naked.
Nakedness apart...
The teacher of my dog doesn't want to tell us anything about what she's learning, instead you would like us to go on Saturday and he will "transfer" over the knowledge he has parted so far on the dog! What? Are you Cesar Milan? Are you like the ultimate dog whisperer? Oh well, we got to play the game I guess, but I wonder what he will tell us, I know the dog knew how to obey to the "sit" command as well as the "stay", so he better not go over these commands because I'm going to tell him a thing or two.
Any hoot...
Have a good whatever people!
Ranting my mind off
How are we doing?
Well my wife MacGyvered my headset with scotch tape so I can do speech recognition blogging again and just at the right time! I have something on my chest that I have to get out or I will probably have a coronary thrombosis!
It's no secret that we're looking to send my girls on a vacation to Las Vegas, so I was shopping around Expedia.ca yesterday and I needed to speak with a sales representative, never ever do that again! What a pain in the ass was that experience, the couldn't help me out! They were all about obeying the rules and regulations that the company had in place. We were trying to settle the ticket prices on two credit cards we had agreed that one of the credit cards was going to take 90% of the fees while the other one was going to be the remainder 10% but there was little problem at their website we could only do 80% on one card and 20% on the other, no can do we said! Let's call them up and see if they can do something for us, what a moron I was! First of all never ever give your itinerary number to them because they will repeat every single word of the reservation back to you and people this is extremely annoying, extremely!! After five minutes of repeating what I had gone through on the web and what we wanted, the guy put me on hold for about 20 minutes before coming back with the answer, then he calmly said to me: "if you cannot modify it on the Internet then there's nothing I can do for you."
Really!!?? We're about to blow $3000 on airplane tickets, hotel room and a Cirque du Soleil show and there's nothing you can do about splitting the payments on two credit cards?? Well that's a bummer, you just lost $3000 dollars! Seriously folks, this was a crappy ass customer service I had ever gotten in my life and I've been around for 43 years, granted, I haven't been interacting with people for that long but it was still very crappy service. Not to mention that I had to put extra attention to whatever they were saying because their verbal English skills were rather poor. One more granted, it is true that they have the lowest price so far, so I might just have to swallow my pride, log back into their website and see how to purchase those freaking tickets!
That's my rant for this morning!
Take care!

First day of training school
Olivia had her first day of obedience school, can't wait for the results. I wonder what was showned to her first, sit, stay, give paw, kill... I'm eager to see what it is...She will be home soon, my wife had a cancelation so Olivia will be home early...
So did you listen to the video of that girl singing?? You know, the girl name Xenia....She's almost as good as me!!! Yeah, right!! Give her a listen, with that voice she will go far!!
Well got to go and wait for Olivia!!!
Take care!
Whoa always me....
I was about to start my post when I accidently dropped my headset, no problem just pick them up, right? <Buzzer> wrong!!! Believe it or not, they broke appart!! Who makes such crappy headsets, oh yeah Logitech!!! That's the second pair this year!!! They fell off a height of about 3ft, wow what crappy material they use! Anyhoot, I will see if I can fix them when my wife gets here, in the meantime I am using my Ipod....
Take care...
Alone blogging my ass off
Good something to you!
Well it's been a while since I've been alone in the house, this morning all the girls left for somewhere leaving me alone. My daughters went to school, my wife went to work and Olivia went to training school, they will be back by 6:00 PM today. Tomorrow it will be the same thing.
So I had another replacement person come and give me a bath today, it was another lady, we were chitchatting away when she basically told me her life story. Failed marriage/3 kids/no grandkids and the kicker of them all, she has 14 brothers and sisters! Wow! I think this is the person that I have met that has the most siblings I have ever heard. At the end of it all she warned me that tomorrow I will be getting another girl again, I told her I didn't mind, being naked with a girl is second nature to me... Okay not really, but who would refuse!? Believe it or not there is lots of man who do! Losers! When I was young that's all I dreamt about, being naked with a girl! Nowadays I do this all the time, and the best thing of it, my wife doesn't mind! It's like a dream come through, I'm naked while a girl performs all sorts of acts on me... It's true! I'm not lying, at the end of it all she even dresses me. I cannot complain people, I cannot complain!
I'll see you later!

Big ass tumor up close and personal
Although I dropped several things I was able to scan the picture of the big ass tumor my Nana has and it will be removed next Monday. She will have to take off several months from her life doing F. all while she recuperates. After that hopefully everything will come back to normal.
That's about the size of a twoony ($2.00 Canadian coin) |
Well my dog is no longer going to stay at the training school, rather my wife will drive her there every morning and bring her back in the afternoons. There was a lot of mixed feelings about letting her stay there, we had some guilt, my CLSC bath guy had more guilt to add on to it, so I called the teacher and told him what was going on and he came up with the brilliant idea of bringing the dog in the mornings and going to pick her up at around 4:30. I told him that sometimes my wife wasn't available to pick the dog up at that time and he said that he would be willing to bring her over once in a while. I told him that on Tuesday's my wife was out of town so it was impossible for her to go, I am waiting for his call back to see if he is available on Tuesdays for the next five weeks to drop my dog back. If all of the requirements are met on his side, then my dog will be going to school and coming back in the afternoons.
Okay folks, so I'm able to scan pictures but I will drop stuff that is misplaced on my scanner!
Oh yeah, this afternoon I'm going to take my youngest daughter to her afterschool classes at the library. It's another gorgeous beautiful day out there!
Take care people!
PS She's going to school...the dog...the teacher can dropped her back!
Once a moron always a moron
Good day to you all!
Well I was about to scan the picture of the brain of my Nana but I noticed that it hasn't been placed on the scanner and I don't know if I'm able to do it. The other thing that happened is that Bell, my Internet/TV/phone provider, made another silly mistake. They sent me a paper, a waybill, so that I can send my old modem back! My old modem back? I thought I had cleared this with them already, I never got that superduper fast service because I am too far from the optical card, so I never had a new modem install on my system! So I gave them a call back, this time I decided to go through the English side and to a technician, because last time I tried to reason with a billing department clerk she didn't get it and I didn't want to take a chance again. So I landed on a technician that spoke English but he also spoke Spanish! Great, so he asked me if I spoke Spanish I told him yes and we switch to our Spanish dialect, I told him the whole story and he claimed that he was fed up working for Bell because of the lack of knowledge in the company. So instead of playing around with my speed he decided to send my call to the retention department, this is the place where you usually get all sorts of retention packages so that they can keep your business. Needless to say that my bill was more or less cut in half. It pays to speak another language other than English or French!
Okay, so I will try to put the picture of my Nana's brain in the scanner so I could share the image with you, I hope I am successful.
Take care homies!
My dog
Hope you guys have a great week!
So my dog is off to school tomorrow evening and she will be off for the whole week!! We have to pick her off on the weekend, we must all go because they will be showing off the comands she has learned. Once the weekend is finished, she goes back to school and this goes on for 5 weeks! I know what your thinking, why?? Well, because I want to give every chance to her to stay with this family...I love my girls but know how kids are and I don't want them to ignore her or invent stories about her that will have her leave this house!! No!! The dog will be well behave and therefore become a part of this crew until she dies!!
On a later post, I will post the scan of my Nana to show you the uge tumor they will remove from her next Monday...it's bigger then a 2 dollar coin (Canada).
Take care folks!

Good something to you all!
I know I didn't show up on Saturday to blog but it was a beautiful day out there and I was out and about doing stuff outside. What stuff you ask? You know, stuff...Went to check the school for my dog, she starts Tuesday, then I came back and sat on the patio, after that I went and bought a mother's day gift for my wife...she already opened it and she likes it...heck I like it!! The present for my mother?? Well this year I'm going via the stomach and I told her so!! What do I mean by this?? My wife is cooking special dishes for her this weekend. Today she cooked a mexican dish my mother likes: Pozole. Tomorrow it's a surprise!
Before I leave you I like to wish all the mothers out there a happy mother's day!!!

The funky bus drive
Good something to you people!
Yes I know I have been lazy today, to be honest I had a nap and it was refreshing. It seems the dog is taking a toll on me, heck, a toll on everybody. She usually is up by 5:50 AM and my wife has to walk her for about half an hour, then she comes in and she is fed, but wait there's more, 15 to 20 minutes after she has to be taken out again this time by my oldest daughter. In a nutshell she is walked about an hour and a half to two hours before the girls leave for school or work. But what's killing me is the fact that I have to get up at 5:50 AM, somewhere in the day I need a nap!
So my visit to the CMR, how did it went? Well, I was right! My cushion that I had was completely broken, they were looking into replacing it with an air cushion but I had to wait to get one of these. Instead they opted to give me a similar cushion like the one I had before (the broken one) but they made some modifications to it so that it wouldn't slide out of place. I have to try this cushion for two weeks and then tell them what I think about it, see if some of my soares on my butt have gone away...
It wasn't the CMR visit that was the highlight of my day!?!
The highlight of my day was the ride to the CMR, I was on the funky bus! The guy was hearing his iPod through the Jack they have to plug-in any outside source with music to your stereo and boy did he had a good selection! With every kilometer he took my mind went back a decade. I was listening to old songs I used to sing with my brother in the karaoke/bar, he had the police, he had David Bowie, he had all the groups that I used to hear when I was younger. And then he hit me with a right hook from time, Frank Sinatra singing I got you under my skin!! Wow, onced I steped out of the bus I told a guy that he had a nice selection of music, it wasn't those exact words but if I translate what I said to him it fits the context... I actually said ".... Christ what a musical selection!"
Any hoot, it is a beautiful day so far and I expect to go and see my Nana later on and tomorrow I have to take Olivia to the Cesar Milan of Brossard so he can help me with my dog.
Take care people!

Crazy until proven sane
I think I have change!
Today I was seeing a show on the National Geographic Channel, it was on the quest that a scientist had begun regarding the search of giant sea serpents, Loch Ness monster type of thing. And... I'm sorry! I don't know what has happened to me, but in today I really don't believe much in anything. All I could do while watching this show was laugh at the people who claim to have seen such creature, I used to be a staunch believer in things! What has happened to me? I have stop believing in things, I used to believe in the Catholic church, I used to believe in pure love, I used to believe that they were really working on a cure for MS, I used to believe, I used to believe, I used to believe... Something went wrong inside of me that made me changed radically, now I try not to pass this on to my daughters as I consider it to be a curse! Yeah, a curse! I think that happier people are those who have faith in something, a God, love, a person, anything! Nowadays I have the look of a lost wanderer just thinking about what else isn't true, what else is out there that I won't believe in...
I think I really have change otherwise I'm going to be the most unhappy person in the face of this planet...
And on that note I wish you a happy afternoon, I'm off to the CMR for a buttocks transplant, okay a new cushion!
Mother's Day weekend and the CMR visit
How are we all doing?
Another day another post, nothing major has changed since yesterday and I will keep on going today.
My visit to the CMR is on today, I'm going to go and see if they can give me a new cushion. I also have to call my Nana and find out if she's going to be at the hospital tomorrow so I can go and visit her, I also think that we're going to have to keep on talking about what's going to be happening with the care of my mother and my Nana. At this point I know that on my part, and I feel bad about it, there's not much time my wife can spend with her. She works, 2/5 days she takes care of my youngest one regarding her tutoring, on the weekend she has three places she has to clean and to top it all off she still has to take care of me when she comes home. Granted at the present time there isn't much she has to do to take care of me, but the cleaning, the cooking, the daily routine has to be taking care off by her and her alone. She actually has 2 girls and 1 baby to deal with, plus now she has a dog. I am not excusing her, but life can be cruel.
Mother's day is this weekend and I have to get something for my mother and for my wife, I'm also thinking of getting something for my Nana. My wife I know what I'm going to probably get her but for my mother and my Nana, it's a whole different ballgame. They have always been very very hard to buy stuff for, I recall when I was younger I used to buy my mother expensive gifts that she would just turn around and give them to someone else, this used to piss me off big time! Then my mother came with her rule about not getting any gifts from anybody, just to change the rule years down the line without telling anybody, again, but making you know that you didn't get her anything that year. This year I don't know what rule is in fact but I will get her something...
Take care people!

Life is difficult, enjoy it while you can
I know, I haven't been posting today that much, but as I had mentioned my Nana is at the hospital and due to this my mother has no help at the house since my Nana was the one that was helping her. My little brother sent an e-mail requesting for help from anybody of us, I told him that he could ring up my wife and see what she would be able to do, but I just got off the phone with my mother and it seems she will probably move with my older brother at which point I would have more access to her seeing that my older brother built a ramp to go in to his garden so if my mother moves I will definitely visit her more often. But this is another reason why I hate MS, in a time of need I am not able to do anything for anybody! Even worst, apparently the exams for the stomach of my Nana came back normal but they discovered that in her head she has a tumor and they will tell her tomorrow if it's something that can be taking care of with chemotherapy or not.
My wife and daughter went to the US consulate to get the visa it will take three days before they find out if they get it or not. Then she went off to work and my daughter came back to the house...
Take care yourself people!
PS sorry I'm not in the writing mood...
The census and my rant
Happy whatever to you!
I just had my bath, but before that my day had already started.
Yesterday in the mail I received my census Canada papers and I had to complete them within 10 days otherwise I'd don't know what would have happened because apparently filling these papers up is the law and I wouldn't like to be dragged to jail because of it. Funny, you can bounce checks, you can owe money, you can do many things illegally and your ass would be safe from jail, but if you forget to do these papers it will be "...in the slammer mamer!" But all in all it wasn't that bad, first of all it is done electronically now and there was only about 10 questions. It was the name of the people that live in the household, the language they spoke, how were these people related, stuff like that. At the end there was a question asking me if they could use my data 92 years from now if somebody was looking for me, why the hell not?! In 92 years I'll be... 43+92= 135....I'm pretty sure that if I'm still around I wouldn't care.
Unh! Did you see the post that I put previous to this one? I didn't know that Michael Douglas had been diagnosed with cancer here in Montréa because in the states they couldn't find anything wrong with him. Makes you wonder why he didn't have to wait to long lines we have to wait for if apparently here in Canada we don't have private healthcare. Did he went to a waiting room? Did he had to go through the whole mumbo-jumbo? I guess they are right, bullshit walks and money talks! I've got nothing against him, it's just that if we're going to allow private healthcare to come to Canada let's do it! Otherwise everybody should be treated the same way no matter who they are!
Take care folks!
