Eureka! The stupid camera works now, I uninstall the update from Microsoft and it works! Now I'm trying to blog with my two oldest daughters bitching around, my wife and my oldest kid! And now I'm about to eat some leftover food from yesterday, oh yeah by the way, my speech recognition is now on the Fritz. It destroyed my previous user and I'm currently using my old user that doesn't have the vocabulary that I had added on the original one. So I'm going to have a lot of mistakes before this thing starts working properly.


Oh well, we can't have everything we want, ey?

Will it still doesn't freaking work! I thought I had a working but no. The funny part is that if I listen to the movie with QuickTime it works properly, if I try using media player and it basically tells me to go F myself! Between yesterday and today nothing was done to change the configuration of this thing, now I'm thinking scan the computer for aq virus, guess what? The antivirus doesn't freaking work, I have one of those all-in-one protective things from the Internet provider that I take off because of the lack of memory but now that I want to use it, pupucaca mother_Fr! At least I can still do voice-recognition, but I need to call the Internet provider to set up the stupid software that is included with my Internet package.


It's amazing how long I can last on the computer when I have a problem. I don't feel tire at all, I guess it's the adrenaline thing that's keeping me up.


On the weatherman side, guess what? The 20 cm? FU! It didn't materialized, we got lots of rain, freezing rain but no snow whatsoever, okay a little bit of snow but not the 20 freaking centimeters they were announcing. I really wonder what we do to predict the weather in our days, these people have to start getting it right or sooner than later we'll start doing our own weather predictions...

Pissed off computer user!

Damn computer/stupid rent increase

Argh! My video camera is not working, well it is but it isn't. I was trying to do a video to a upload to YouTube and no sound is being recorded, then I try my headset and no sound was being recorded with it also. What gives? Okay, let's troubleshoot this shit, I should be able to get it working with all my troubleshooting experience, reboot the system! Comes back up, I decided to play it safe and record a movie using my headset as a microphone and ta-da, it works! So I started recording the video, then I edited and got myself ready to upload to YouTube. Let's hear this baby, no freaking sound!!! Okay, let's check the source with media player, I get a freaking error! Holy shit, I don't want to reinstall everything! Especially now, tax season is about to begin and I need my computer to do my taxes. Aah fuck, I got no time for this! I'll troubleshoot it tomorrow when I'm feeling energetic and full of hope. In the meantime, let me tell you about my rent increase that I got today from my landlord.


So my wife went to pay the rent today and as tradition has it, and the law demands it, I was given a paper stating that as of June 2011 my rent will be going up by $25 dollars. Okay, I got a month to reflect on this prior to me accepting the increase. Maybe it's time that I move somewhere else, somewhere where the landlord takes care of the building, shit I shouldn't talk so loud her offices are right beside my place, where there's a janitor that takes care of broken stuff. This is what I thought I was going to do but my wife informed me that she had signed a copy of the rent increase already, she didn't know I wanted to move or something like that, she just took it for granted... So at this point I'm staying here for another year like it or not!

So it was Ozzzzcar night last night and all I can say is God bless the inventor of the PVR, it made the Ozzzcars go faster. I really don't know why I see this show, it's freaking long! Next time I will not see the Oscars and will read about them the following day. The only thing the Oscars did was that it promoted a heated debate between my wife/daughters vs me, it was due time, the subject had been lingering silently in the background: Danielson vs Dre

Come on! Seriously?!? The wax on technique has been proven to work, ask martial arts guru Chuck Norris! The jacket on crap is lame, sure it will help you become faster at putting your jacket but that's about it. It will not get you that black belt like the wax on technique help me get my black belt! Stop dreaming....

Wow, woweeeeee! Today my wife rolled up her sleeves and treated us to a feast! We had home made pâté chinois follow by home made ice cream sandwiches. Mine was a regular one, chocolate chip cookies, but my daughters had white chocolate cover cookies with their ice cream sandwich, it looked good....

I was wrong, their sandwich had so much sugar it probably would have killed me and for once in their lidetime and mine, my daughters cried uncle! Too much sugar they say, they couldn't open their mouth wide enough to fit the sandwich so they gave up.

But the main dish was so good that the pickiest of my daughters didn't make a fuzz. I had a great Sunday meal follow with a delicious dessert, at least mine...

Another weatherman warning

Hello!


Well we got a snow/freezing rain warning again and this time it's doubled the amount. Apparently tomorrow were supposed to get anywhere between 15 to 20 cm! Oh joy, oh happiness! The good thing about it is that the girls have the week off so nobody's going out tomorrow except my wife for work. But let's hope that this time it's true and it doesn't dissipate into a mere 5 cm.

On a brighter side literally, in a couple of weeks the weekend of March 13 to be exact, we will be adjusting our clocks one hour ahead. What does this mean for those who don't change the clocks? It means that instead of being 2:16 it will be 3:16 PM, making the day a little longer. This is the reason why in summer it's 8:30 in the afternoon and the sun is shining, but this also means that come winter we do the opposite and retract that hour that we had advanced making the nights a little longer and they come much sooner.


This is what's going on today as I said in my previous post it a slow and lazy Sunday.

How's your Sunday happening?


Well it's a slow Sunday today, had a late breakfast of a bagel grill cheese with ham while seeing a movie. We watched a couple of cooking shows to freshen up our breakfast skills and now the girls have gone up there to do whatever they do up there.


It seems am catching another cold, could this be? Will I've been sneezing my head off all freaking morning and I'm not allergic to anything. In fact I have been interrupted several times during this post while I sneeze my head off. But this cannot be, I just came out of a cold two weeks ago and now I'm going back in? I don't think so, but it sure feels like it, we'll see. But it doesn't matter, this week I only need to go out Thursday for a couple of hours in the afternoon and then Friday the CMR is coming over here. Come Sunday, I get to go to the sugar shack and then to the hospital on Monday, my next appointment is until July with the neurologist. Well that's it for me on this slow and lazy Sunday.

Well it was a spooky evening today at my place. Yup, my wife and oldest one wanted to see the spooky ghost programs that are showend in the Viva channel (Ghostly Encounters) and on the Bio channel (Celebrity ghost stories). And they don't like seeing the shows with me because I like to bring down the theories of the ghosts and they don't like to hear that. I mean a horse that is poses, seriously?! This is what they believe is scary?? Dear Lord, I hope they don't pass the story about the headless hamster...

Odd things on Saturday

Hope you guys are doing okay!


It is confirmed, Vietnam is following me, thank you very much Vietnam. As I said, the funny part is that South Korea stop following me and lo and behold Vietnam came by, could it be that the persons that were following me in South Korea decided to go to Vietnam? It doesn't matter, thank you very much Vietnam.

WTF?!? What the hell are they doing out there, it appears they're working on the building and it's extremely noisy! This has been going on all day long, I guess it's that time of the year when the landlord has to justify the increase in rents to the government. I wonder how much she will ask for this time?


Yes, I did edit the text of my last post, I know that I say one thing on the video but the text reads another. This is because I didn't want to redo the video, so I edited the text. But in general I just wanted to show the people using YouTube what my life was like every day. I guess I also show you guys how I do my blogging every day. You know, now that my station is set up I will connect and configure the fax module on my printer so that I can also use the fax when I need to.

How are you today people?


So right now I'm video blogging this so they can see how I blog every day and they can understand that a guy with MS although with very limited usage of his hands can still blog speech recognition allows me to do this, let me just pause them and I'll keep on going. Okay so I did my video blog clip I'll be honest with you I am not doing this every day like I do my blog, I find it that for a guy with MS and limited usage of his hands it is very time-consuming and makes my tiredness kick in faster.

So what's new with me? Well this morning we watched the shows I recorded over the week with my family and now they went to Chinatown to get the famous death book for my daughter as well as something else for my other daughter. I like my new environment I have full control of my computer and the USB camera, maybe this is going to entice me into video blogging more often, remains to be seen. Other than that, I'm still pissed off at the weatherman since he screwed up my visit to the CMR and now I still have a broken wheelchair with me. I hope I can make it next Thursday, this is getting annoying.

New blood

Wow, I fell asleep for a second there last thing I remember the kids were watching TV with me and now they're up there playing computers, their spring week off has begun.

Well I've been getting 2 countries that seem to be hitting my blog day by day, before there was the US, Canada and South Korea. Since a couple of days I've been seeing Vietnam and Morroco come and read my blog, I hope they keep it up. But you know what the funny part is? That when these countries started to follow me South Korea suddenly stopped dropping by the blog, interesting!!

At the present time I'm catching up with the news of the crisis zone in North Africa and about to call my daughter to take a reading of my blood sugar before she goes to sleep.

New working space

Hello!


Yes yes yes! I haven't posted all day but there's a good reason for it, actually there's two good reasons, the first one is that we put some order, my wife put some order on the computer side of things, I bought a classifier and we put the printer on top of it and now my computer rest on my desk. The second was that my wife is here all day long seeing that since she's the boss she cancel her appointments and stayed home with me, she napped, she saw TV, she saw Internet TV, she did everything sick people do. On this post you will see how my new computer space looks, it looks cleaner than before and I can actually insert CDs/DVDs and can even turn off my computer if I wanted to. My wife also discover that she can connect the microphone to the USB port behind the keyboard, so I have two additional USB ports. I like my new space, I can even connect the USB camera now.


What about you guys, how has your Friday/Saturday been?

Stupid weather channel

My apologies again, Israel did come and visit my site also yesterday, much appreciated people.


Well another letdown, I feel I should sue somebody for making me delay my appointment at the CMR. You know that 15 cm storm we were supposed to have today? Guess what? It didn't materialize! It has been downgraded to about 5 cm maximum, big maximum! Yesterday before making my decision to cancel my appointment I called the CMR secretary to see what she thought about the whole snowstorm thing, she had heard about it too and recommended that I wait till morning to make a decision. Nooooo, oh no not me, I think we will be having more than 15 cm I said I would like to reschedule my appointment for next week, and so she did. Now who do you think looks like a fool today, who? Dammit how are we predicting the weather n'our days? I we like killing an animal or something and seeing what it's intestines look like? Are we seeing the birds fly too low and therefore we say it's going to rain? It's 10 o'clock in the morning and there's not a drop of fresh snow on the ground. I feel like a fool, a maroon, an imbecile who believes everything the TV throws at you. I remember a time where you could rely on the weather man to tell you the temperatures and the weather you were going to be having a couple of days in advance but now every single prediction, forecasts, the weather channel has made has been completely wrong! Boy that gets me upset, I should have been at my appointment today having my chair fix instead I'm here lamenting on my situation and how crappy weather forecasting has become here in this country.

On other more important news, I've been following the situation in northern Africa and I wish the best for the people revolting against their government, my prayers are with them. I have been following the news on three different network stations CNN, Televisa and Aljazeera English TV; CNN because I love that channel, Televisa because it's an impartial description of events over there and Aljazeera because I like to get an Arab perspective of the situation. Once again, I wish them all well.

Riding out the storm

Well, I canceled my appointment for tomorrow at the CMR going to ride the storm inside my place blogging, sleeping and just gegetating my ass off! I made arrengments to go to the CMR next Thursday when the kids are home next week, I hope the streets are clean by then.

Oh yes before I forget, it wasn't Israel that visited my blog but Ireland, sorry, I didn't mean to mistake both countries. You guys have your own good things and bad things. Also I forgot to mention that Vietnam droped by with 3 page views, honor to see you here, hope you make it a habit.

We rule the MS world

Hello!

This afternoon I received the electronic letter from the multiple society of Canada organization telling me about all the good things that people with MS are doing. So that got me researching the web for useless information that I already know, it's not like they came up with a cure or something, at this point I believe that there is a conspiracy between pharmaceuticals and organizations whose goal is to make money out of this illness. Sorry, I'm just being negative again, but what I did find that's really interesting was a map of the locations where MS hits the most, guess who's number one? That's right, Canada! We're the best at MS, and I have the map to prove it. But what's funny is that I'm not Canadian (not born here) and the place where I come from has no data about MS, I'm probably the first Salvadorian person with MS, let's just keep this our little secret for statistic purposes, we want to redo the map of the world again.

No.1 country with MS

On another note, I was checking the stats for this month and I got hits from all over the world, once again the US is way out ahead 1000+ hits more than the nearest competitor, Canada. South Korea, I still don't get it they are in third place and every day there's someone from that country that logs into my blog and reads it, thank you, I hope I don't make you think less of us on this side of the world trust me people in general are normal, but I am not. And today out of the blue I got a hit from Israel and a hit from Morocco! Really?! Wow, I'm thrilled but I'll bet you $100 dollars that these people will never come back.

Anyways, I'm double thinking if I'm going to go to the CMR tomorrow or not, my bath guy told me that it was expected to be a big storm coming our way, so I don't want to get all ruffled up in the morning and then not going anywhere. Plus if I have to get ready early, my bus is supposed to pick me up at 8:15 in the morning, I can always put on some shorts and blog a little longer.

Well people, it's the weekend, and an extremely long weekend for us here in Québec. I will see you tomorrow!

Things of life

Wow! I thought that spring was here but I was completely wrong, today and tomorrow we're supposed to get 15 cm of snow on the ground, about 7 inches, and next Monday another 15! And tomorrow I have to go to the CMR, I wonder if I'm going to be able to make it seeing that from the door to the sidewalk is not always clean and there might be too much snow there. We'll see what happens.


I'll bet you didn't see the difference there, ey? Well the text actually stopped at the CMR and then my bath guy came along and we interrupted my dictation for about 45 minutes while he gave me my bath. He was telling me that his ex-wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and that she was going to get operated this coming Wednesday. Apparently his kids were not taking it that well so he decided to take off the coming week seeing that the schools will be closed and he will take the kids to see their mother after she gets operated. There's always someone that's suffering way worst then you are...

Hello people of the world, how are we today?



Yesterday I posted about my wife calling freaking out because she was late for an appointment, well I thought it had ended today and it was going to be a new beginning. Wrong, I was freaking wrong!


This morning my youngest daughter was a bit late getting up so it was the usual push and shove of the morning when you're late. I'm not gonna say I'm a saint, I participated on this event but clearly not as much as my wife. It was rush rush, you'll miss the bus, hurry up!


A rat race, a freaking rat race! I used to be like that prior to my forced stoppage of everything. I remember that when I was able to walk everything used to be a race, work, the kids, the weekends, everything. But now I have taken more of a "I don't give a shit" attitude towards life and life's events, I still share some sense of urgency for certain things with you people but for things I cannot change I will not lose sleep over it. Like yesterday's call, so what that the kid doesn't go to the teacher today? She'll go there next Monday, right? Better yet, before I used to panic if my mother, yes I was a mama's boy, would get upset with me for something that she wanted to be done right away, today if my wife tells me that my mother's upset because she couldn't accommodate my mother's request, I take a more "the sun still shining ain't it?"approach. So in a way this work stoppage, life stoppage, has changed my life 360°, oops, I meant to say 180°...

So today I made a couple of changes to my bank plan, I came back to the top of the line plan I had before. I didn't want to but I can't say no to a chick with a weird voice and a super personality on the phone, today was one of those days when luck threw me such an incident. The young girl talking on the phone had a weird accent and a great personality so she made me see that I really "needed" that plan and I don't know why I had never had it! Anyone with these attribute, voice and personality, could sell me crap that I would probably buy it. So much for saving for my retirement...sigh

Traffic attack!

The sky is falling the sky is falling!


Well not exactly true, but something similar happened just about a second ago. My wife went to work to the city, Montréal, and she had to be here by four o'clock because she had to take my daughter to her biweekly study session we pay with a retired teacher. Well I got a call moments ago, it was my wife she was freaking out because she was stuck in traffic and she wasn't going to make it.


"Call the teacher, tell her we can't make it... Inaudible voice... I am stuck in traffic!"


Of course this call was illegal, my wife has no Bluetooth she doesn't like it. Makes her look like a dork she says, she already got caught once she had to pay $150 dollars fine and the renewal of her license was more expensive. But she had no choice unlike me she doesn't have telepathic powers yet, so she has to call when the car is stopped. I tried to call the teacher but she probably had already left for the library so plan B came into effect, my oldest daughter has to walk to the library and inform the teacher that my youngest daughter cannot make it today because her mom is stuck in traffic.



Somehow, I feel I'm to blame...

Posting my life

Hello!


Well I had a productive afternoon, I ordered a couple of citizenship kits for my wife and daughter and I talked to an immigration agent, so who cares? I do! You know how long I spend waiting to talk to someone on the phone? I would say, without kidding, about half an hour waiting time and maybe, just maybe, 15 minutes on the phone with them. But that is done now and I got the rest of the afternoon to myself, look at that whole 50 minutes before my daughter comes home.

Tomorrow I have nothing major planned, my bath guy is coming but then on Friday I have to go to the CMR to get my chair fix. They finally received the pieces they were waiting for and, let me, a screw fell off my chair today and I have no idea where it comes from, but my wheelchair still working, I'll guess I'll find out on Friday what that thing is. Next weekend I got the sugar shack coming up and Monday I have to go see the urologist at the hospital and for an annual checkup of my bladder. Let's see how that goes, then my final appointment will be July 5th with my neurologist again.


My movie? Well sadly I cannot film it myself I have to get help, luckily enough next week the kids are off school and I will have plenty of help to complete the project and posted on YouTube as well as here. The YouTube thing isn't going that well, you know all those people that were pushing me to go to YouTube? Did they follow me? Negative on both questions! How ever I don't hold it against them it is very difficult for me to produce video and the light thing is always an issue.

Urologist visit in Technicolor

Happy hump day to you!


Well, I went to the urologist today and it was an experience. First of all the entrance to my building is full of ice so my chair was sliding left and right, I got in the bus at 8:55 AM, I was at my urologist office at 10:30 AM and the place is like 10 km away (about 5 miles)! There was a shit load of traffic in Montréal, road construction left and right, then I got to the place and the Access for wheelchairs is being blocked by a truck, they're doing construction work and there was a stupid truck blocking the entrance, I had to go down a bit further and then squeeze in between the truck. I go into the building and there is some moron blocking the way through, I told him I had to pass and he just looked at me comatose, what is this place an asylum?! So when he saw me move the chair towards him he moved away. So my journey to go see the urologist took about an hour and a half and the guy saw me for 10 minutes, 10 minutes! I came back out to wait for the bus and a freaking truck was gone but he left the trailer behind! WTF?! Well I took some pictures of the trailer so I can blog about it.

Not easy playing my part

How goes it?


I think I owe you, some of you, an elaboration on the why I put that comment on Facebook. Just as a quick note to everybody else, yesterday on Facebook I put the mention "why???". Here's the story folks, yesterday I was feeling down,  hearing music and seeing old pictures when I used to walk make me sad. Yes even Super Chuck gets an off day once in a while and yesterday was one of those days. What I'd put on Facebook was part of my "OCD" routine. When my wife or my daughter put me in  bed and after everybody leaves my room for the night,  I usually say a holy father and Hail Mary, these are the prayers that I was raised with, and for the last 3 years or so at the end of my prayers I will actually ask the question "why???", then I'll go about seeing TV and eventually dozing off. Yesterday I put this word on Facebook because the level of distress was a doozy and I had to put something somewhere where people would see it and those close to me would perhaps understand the reason behind it.

I admit that I get sad once in a while, that I cry like a little boy, but I'm glad that these crisis are few and far apart and that they happen when I'm alone, I like to keep the appearance of a strong front towards my girls and people.

But today is another day and super Chuck is back with his cold stonefaced and his undiminished positivism that makes him believe that one day he will stand up and walk about.

Already? That's it? I thought it was going to be longer, that I would have the chance to enjoy her for a bit more time!? Please say it isn't so?! You're joking there is more time out there, this thing we started has definitely has to go on! I guess it was fun while it lasted and now we must move on, until the week after next one.

What am I babbling about? Well if you were a parent or a young adult whose hormones are acting out you would know, at least here in Québec, that next week is "la semaine de relâche" or spring break. The girls are going to be here 24/7 and how things are going they'll be spending a lot of time down here with me making speech recognition almost impossible! Yes, I don't know what bug has bit them but lately they spend most of their days down here with me, playing silly jokes and giggling for no reason. I guess I'll have to tolerate them since they are my daughters, I might as well cherish these moments because they will disappear in no time. All of this to let you know that next week my posting will be on and off at the mercy of my daughters.

Hey I forgot to mention, remember that I had said that yesterday there were going to be inspectors coming over to my house to check it out? Well they didn't come, apparently there was a main water leakage in the other building adjacent to mine and they had to cancel all the visits because of this. So no inspectors but more work for my wife that cleans that building also.

So I'll finally get my chance to marry Megan Fox if she ever gets divorce or separate herself. Facebook is coming up with this cool application that lets you monitor the status of the persons you are interested in. So there's still hope for me and my relationships with several babes of Hollywood!

Pâté chinois & Genacol

Well the second post of the day people!


So I had my favorite dish today for lunch, Meals on Wheels brought me pâté chinois. This meal consists of a potato-based purée with chopped meat on top cover with sweetcorn kernels, two this add some Louisiana hot sauce and you get a killer of a dish.

Then I went on to reserve my bus for tomorrow and I was almost right, they will pick me up tomorrow between 8:55 in the morning and 9:25. I am only allowed to call them if my bus is not there at 9:25 AM, they are allowed to arrive at my house anywhere in between not after. I can't complain about their service, they have provided me up to now with exceptional service compare to the other people that use special transportation in Montréal which they claim the system sucks. Sorry, here in the south shore it really rocks!

Yesterday night I started to take these pills that my cousin told my mother were pretty good regarding arthritis pain and muscle cramps. They are called Genacol and for my mother it has done wonders, so she suggested I take some for the pain on my leg that I get, I cannot deny it that it has helped a bit today I haven't gotten the pain as sharp as I usually get it. So I'll take some more pills tonight and hopefully it will get me out of this wheelchair!

Boy am I lucky, Hydro-Québec is working inside the building today and for a quick second or two the electricity went off. Obviously this shutdown my computer and screwed up the clock on the kitchen, the one I usually base my life around. So I wasn't expecting to post so early, I was going to wait until feeding time so that my brother could boot up the machine again. Then suddenly I hear the patio door open, it was my bath guy who had forgotten something, I took advantage of this and told him to push the button on the computer. Presto! I'm alive again, at least to the electronic world.

So I have to call and make a reservation for a bus tomorrow, I will schedule it for 10 o'clock in the morning returning home at 11:30 a.m. this means that the bus will pick me up probably between 9 AM and 9:30 AM. The returning trip will be between 11:30 AM and midday. What does this all mean? Well my wife is probably going to take me out on her way to work but I have to schedule my little brother to put me back inside my place between midday and 12:30 PM, the bus company reserves itself half an hour for my pickup time. Meaning that they can pick me up between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM. to bring me back home, I think I will bring the camera with me tomorrow, it's supposed to be a gorgeous day and I might as well take some snapshots. So be on the lookout for those!


Well that's it for me for now, I will definitely post more this afternoon if the electricity holds out.

In Yeah I had forgotten about that one, a while back when I used to work at Nuance, back then it was locus dialogue technologies, there was a guy who found a site on the Internet where you could get ordained online. Guess who became a minister that day? Yup! Old Chuckster here becamed a minister and for the longest time it was the joke of the company, I would bless meetings prior to their beginning and even sent an e-mail about my services I provided confessions, last rites, marriages and I think I even added birthday parties. So I tried to find the site where I was ordained but couldn't find it, I was able to find the one where I ordained myself last year so theoretically you could tell me about your sins and I wouldn't be allowed to talk about them to anyone else, but boy would it make great material for a book, so think about it.

You know what, I placed the link of this blog on their site and I will probably get hits from them as well as prayers, condemnations, death threats and other religion related e-mails. I'll just say I was lost but now I'm found! Oh well, you can't please everyone!

But like it or not as I grow old I have become more intimate with myself, no not that way you pigs, I meant that I think a lot about who we are and where we're going. That's why I came up with the theory that once we passed away we become dark energy. A theory that was completely shut down and ignored by my hero now my nemesis, Stephen Hawkins, I even kept his e-mail where he tells me to go fly a kite. No he didn't say that, but I interpreted that way. But my theory still stands. All of this to say that I am a minister of the cloth and if you ever need to talk about anything, I mean anything, give me a holler and Rev. Chuck will be here for you... And you and especially you out there with the big gozoongas....

I have seen the light!!

It was all thanks to my bath guy that came this morning...

Listen here you little shit, I did the other post first because I was carrying that idea since yesterday and was afraid I was going to lose my train of thought. If you are not satisfied with my blog there is the door. Sorry, a bit edgy I had an espresso... Let's go on with the light thing.

As I was saying my bath guy showed me the way today and convince me that getting a divorce was the right thing to do. Okay, I said that out loud didn't I? Nah, my wife knows me too well she knows that I would tell her first, I wouldn't blog about it. No, as I was saying my bath guy convinced me that I should get a tattoo!!! Yes, me Chuck Guzman, the guy who was forbidden by his mother not to get a tattoo and not to become gay, is getting a tattoo and is coming out of the closet -yeah okay not that one- but I am getting tattoo!

He gave me the name of a guy who does great portraits and he wants me to call him up to see if I would be able to get inside his studio on my wheelchair and how much would he charge me for a portrait of my girls, all 3 of them. So I told him I was going to investigate and call the guy up, ask him the questions that I need to know prior to me committing hara-kiri. I don't know what my mother will say but I figured I got like 20 years tops before I kicked the bucket so I might as well go out with a bang. I already know the picture I want and with time they will wrinkle up just like my tattoo so it's going to be great.

There's one thing that I need to ask and it's extremely important, does it hurt a lot?

Well it was bath day today and I just finished having one, so be patient I don't knock on your door when you are taking a shower.

On that note today I will discuss the topic of customer service (you gonna love this Rick!) that was all triggered by my call to the pharmacy to reorder my prescriptions. Here's something new, talking about something I don't know what the heck I am talking about, basically I have no clue what their system is currently like but I would like to improve it. Here's what happened...

I called, they were polite and they asked me what I needed as a refill. I do this every month people! Prozac, Viagra and cholesterol medicine please. Obviously I'm not going to tell you what are my medicines but Prozac and Viagra are not part of it. So then I started philosophizing out loud to my daughter and it would be great if these people with my phone number only could see what I take every month, when I need a refill and when my prescriptions are up for renewal. I would just have to call state my name, give my phone number and then the clerk on the other side could greet me in a more personal level:

- "Good day Mr. Guzman, I see you need your prescriptions refilled. Would you like me to do that for you?"

I would be thrilled that the clerk knows why I'm calling about and let's go one step further, what if they are the ones to call me when my prescriptions would need refilling? Whoa! I would be thrilled that someone is looking out for me and for them? Automatic money coming in every month and customer satisfaction through the ceiling!

Needless to say my daughter thinks I am crazy!

Yeah well, I had lots of time on my hands today... Yeah I know, I have lots of time everyday!

Another pasta Sunday

Well Monday is at my door and my weeks of appointments is about to start on Wednasday with the urologist, oh joy!

So today my wife decided to do the pasta dish she made a couple of weeks ago, the one she got off my former girl fiend Rachael Ray. I had to dump her she wasn't Salvadorian, funny come to think about it neither is my wife! Back to the pasta, wow!!! She nailed it again, RR would be proud of her and bonus points: her sister tasted it and liked it...or she was really good lying about it....I loved the dish so either I will stay with my wife and kids or kiss them goodbye and start looking about dating RR, I'm sure she'll be thrilled about dating me!

Sleepy Sunday with a picture

Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday and you people on the other side of the world I hope you have a nice slumber.

Well I started to get a move on regarding my short clip, I got the video camera and I emptied its contents on my portable drive, I did some test runs yesterday and noticed that the images were coming rather dark. I changed the video settings from daylight to incandescent lighting and I will do some more testing today, otherwise I will have to buy some sort of additional lighting because I'll need it so it doesn't come out dark.

I hate to say it but my wife is just like my older brother and my oldest niece, they take pictures and then forget about it. I found out photos of my little girls birthday's celebration on the memory card and a couple of pictures that I like, one of them being a family picture of last December.


Today is another beautiful day out there but it's also a very cold day, were hovering around -13°! We were told by the janitor moments ago that there were going to have an inspection of the building so we need to be prepared for this. Usually when something like this happens it could mean that the owner of the building is going to sell, I hope not I like the current owner but then again you never know what's happening but I'm ready anyways.

Having a good Sunday?

So Saturday afternoon we had a treat for lunch, Costco hot dogs and french fries. Costco is a members only mega store that also has a small fast food place that sells the store's product. I don't know if Costco exists outside of Canada but if it doesn't, you people are missing the best french fries in the world!

And this was the conversation we were having while having our lunch...who has the best french fries out there! We all agreed that there was a time that KFC had the worst fries but it has improved the taste of them by leaps and bounds! McDs was always okay but has recently improved their taste, the king fries are nothing to write home about, leaving us with Wendys fries: ok if you want to put vinegar on them like I often do. But the clear winer in our conversation today was Costco, dam good fries and the portions, let's not go there....more than enough!

Weekend warrior

Well my wife is off to buy me a printer table and buy some food for the house.

I was seeing the stats today and I noticed that I'm getting hits from countries that I wasn't expecting to get a hit from: Nigeria, Thailand, Hungary, Czech Republic... I love the Internet! I have never met people from these parts of the world yet on the Internet I can say that somehow I twisted their little brains a bit. Thank you world, thank you for reading/seeing my blog. I'm alive!

This weekend? Well if you are a regular reader you should know my weekends by now, nothing really happens, honestly. Heck, my weeks are like that too, I think the most exciting thing that happened to me this week was when I got the call from that collection agency thinking that I was someone else that had moved from Banff Canada to Brossard Canada-Québec-. Yup, that's the highlight of my week and now I must tackle my weekend. It's going to be fun, me and the computer with the exception I am wearing no clothes when I blog.

Title says it all! It's 1:10AM and I can't fall asleep, my eyes are wide open, my room feels warm and I'm watching the military channel in hopes it will knock me into ZZzzzZZzzz land. But I don't care tomorrow is Saturday and I can wake up as late as I want, as long as my daughters don't come down early for breakfast.

Tomorrow I will ask my wife to buy me a table for my printer, Ikea usually has some cheap ones and I like their design. She also has to buy some clothes for the girls....spring is coming!

Stories of my mundane life

This afternoon I got a couple of calls that interrupted my viewing of a web seminar on genealogy. The first call was to inform me that my youngest daughter was going to be in a draw for some hockey tickets, Junior ranked, they wanted to know if I agreed for her to participate in the drawing of those tickets. I had no choice, if I would have say no my daughter would have killed me; I'm pretty sure she's going to win them. The match is going to be between the Junior Canadian team and a professional one.

The other call was to remind me that Wednesday at 10:20 a.m. I have to go and see the urologist, this call was a gift from the gods because I remembered the date but I didn't recalled the hour, now I do.


As for the webinar, I was able to save it on my computer so I can watch it later on. I'm also waiting for a couple of pictures from my cousin in Costa Rica and another one in El Salvador to send me pictures of my grandmother and my young father. Between you and me, I don't know when I'll get those pictures but if I do I will definitely include them in my family genealogy tree I am building.

Just before I was about to publish this I got a call from a collection agency, it was weird because they had my first name and last name right but I was living somewhere in Alberta (Canada). They kept on insisting if I wasn't the Chuck Guzman that lived on Buffalo Street in Banff, Canada. I can't  afford Banff Canada! I was finally able to prove her that I wasn't that person they were looking for because I speak French. So she told me they were going to take my name of that list. Wow, I wonder what type of life that that guy has!?

My endless appointments list

Well next week starting to take shape already for me, I got a couple of appointments already lined up for next week. It seems that's what my life is about, blogging and medical appointments.


Next week I have to go to the CMR and have my feet rests repair, apparently they received a new piece that was broken on my wheelchair and they need to replace it, on Wednesday I have to go and see the neurologist about my catheter blockage. Needless to say that it hasn't blocked since I took the antibiotics, but hey I'm not the expert and thus the CLSC would like his advice. The week after that I already have an appointment with the computer people of the CMR, something about making my mouse work better for me. Finally on March the 6th it's sugar shack day! I hope I can make it with my family, I will definitely eat like a pig and fuck my diabetes for once, okay maybe twice. Oh yeah, the following day I have to go to the Montréal Jewish Hospital because they're going to do an annual checkup on my catheter, I have no idea exactly what this is about so I will have to call the hospital to find out more. Ladies and gentlemen, just like that spring would have sprung and I'll have to start thinking about buying chocolate eggs for Easter and a new set of tires for a car that I'm paying for, have never gone inside of it and have never driven it... Life sucks!

Freaky Friday

Well it's Friday, I hope you have a great day today and ` super weekend!

Well I decided to read the electronic copy of CNN to see what's happening out there, what have I been missing. Apparently not much, still the same doom and gloom that I last saw in the newspapers: the Middle East is in turmoil, bloodshed in Mexico, Canada still boring but safe, blah blah blah... So I jumped to the technology section and I found an interesting article about the first anti-laser created. Interesting...ZZzzZZzz! No offense folks I think that MS plus age has made me more practical. I know the article reads that this may have repercussions in different fields that could help humankind but I didn't find it that exciting as it thought I would, then again maybe I'm too stupid.... But what about that Anna Nicole Smith Opera?? Now that's exciting!

Well it's a crappy day today here, +4° and it's raining meaning the snow is melting! But I won't get my Bermuda shorts out yet, tomorrow we're supposed to drop to -6°. What does this mean? It's going to be an ice rink out there, people will be sliding left and right and cars will have difficulty stopping. Thank God it's Saturday and traffic will be slow starting.

My oldest daughter's debate team was one of the two best debate teams in her class, meaning that she will now have to face the other team to see which one is better. I could have told you that she had the gift of the gab with her ever since she learn how to talk, she hasn't stopped talking since then! She likes going in front of the class and making the other team feel useless, her words not mine, she told me she likes the "power trip" it gives her. Great! I have a future tyrant on my hands...

The price of happiness

Whoa that was freaky! I started to work on my post and voice-recognition was going left and right, solution? Reboot the machine! Everything is fine again.


So I was reading my previous post and it basically got me wondering about what would be the price that I would put on my relationship, to be honest what would be the price that I would sell my better half for. Interesting concept...

Here's the thing, let's say that my wife is walking on the street one day and Bill Gates drives by and spots her and falls madly in love with her, being a man of richness and power, he researches her life and finds out that she's married. No problemo, I will offer the husband $500 million dollars if I can spend one day with her. I know just like the movie right? But the question is would I let my wife go with Bill Gates for $500 million dollars?

Boys and girls this is the truth about relationships, when we guys hear about such an exorbitant amount of money our eyes glitter thinking of all the things we could do with it, okay thinking of all the things we could buy with it. We would probably sell out, I know you ladies are getting insulted, but that's the nature of the beast. A day without a woman and $500 million dollars? Awfully tempting ladies! This is where we are different from you guys, you probably wouldn't do anything because you want to be romanced into a relationship, to you guys, gals sorry, a marriage is a relationship thing (to most of you). But to us guys is basically free sex, so I would suggest that if you get offered $500 million dollars for us from Oprah don't take it! We might end up dumping you and settling down with her. You guys should be praised every day for the way you are.

On another note I devise a new strategy for my YouTube vlog, I will basically be narrating whatever I post on my blog. I started doing this today with this post and I'm pretty sure, just like my blog, I will start a small following there. I will post the videos on my account here when it's a new project, just like my movie that I'm working on right now, you guys will not have to go to YouTube to see it. It's like the old saying: if Mohammed can't go to the mountain, the mountain will come to him.


It is gorgeous outside, the temperature is actually hovering around -2°. I opened the patio doors and it's actually hot, the snow is melting.

guzman.ca fiasco

Hello good people!

I was playing with the settings of my blog earlier on but I notice for the first time, believe it or not, that I could redirect my blog to my domain name. Yes I have a domain name, guzman.ca. I got this domain name years ago when my mother-in-law and sister-in-law used to live in Mexico so I would use this place to upload photos so they could see them. With time they came to Canada and the domain name was obsolete, but I kept it. What do I do now with it? Well if you go to http://www.guzman.ca/ you will be redirected to my blog, but that's not the story.

So I was saying that I was playing with the settings and I a redirected my blog to my domain name. Big no no! My domain name is not considered safe by Google, so when you would go to my blog you would get a warning stating that you were about to be redirected to a domain name not registered with Google, proceed at your own risk. Basically if I was to see this message to me it's like saying:

- "crazy lunatic might be on the other side, he might want to steal your wife or your money, proceed at your own risks!"

Jesus Christ, a maniac on the loose running around on the Internet!?! Somebody get him out of here before he causes any damages!

I'm just saying that when I see a messages like that I always click on no. Needless to say I corrected the mistake and came back to my old address. But if you ever go to guzman.ca you will be redirected to my blog, it's amazing what you can learn every day...

The affair: Never go back

How are you people doing?

Life's funny, yesterday after writing my disillusionment post I started wondering why I had never be unfaithful to my wife during the time I've been with her. Don't laugh, the occasions have been there when I think about it, not many but they have been there. Just yesterday I got an invitation to meet someone and once again I didn't do it, I couldn't do it. How could I see my girls with a straight face without remorse? I always say to myself that I've been there, that I've done that, that it's time to keep on moving. You never go back, otherwise it would be very sad life knowing that your happiness is somewhere in the past and not the present and\or the future. I admit that there must be changes in your relationship with your wife and kids, that you must and they must evolve with time so that complacency does not exist, thus keeping your life interesting and making you want more out of it. As I once told someone: don't go back, don't ever go back. Keep on moving and you will be happy.

Plus the lady wanted $49.95 on a credit card to spice up the conversation. Spice up? My wife is freaking Mexican I get all the jalapeño juice I want from her! Why pay when you can get it for free? Then I told her I was disable and in a wheelchair and the whole conversation stopped, literarily stopped, my credit card had been declined once again... Stupid MasterCard!

Disillusionment

Well it was a shocker today at lunch! You know that person that you are supposed to trust no matter what, your better half? Well she betrayed me! No no, I'm not going to take this privately! I'm going to shout it out, I'm going to let the world know what type of person she is and how wrong I was about her.

After eating my delicious sandwich made with cheddar cheese and having my scrumptious snack, okay creamy... It was a yogurt, I wonder to the pantry, you know the place where you keep all your goodies? Guess what I found?? That's right, another cause for a divorce! The pantry was full of treats that have been hidden from ME all this time! I'm talking Rice Krispies, Nutri bars, marshmallows, cookies, chocolate covered things... And I trusted this woman!?! What type of human being hides the good stuff away from people? This is me, your life's soul mate!? I just can see her now coming up with lame excuses: "well... I have to watch your diabetes!", "It's for the lunch of the kids and your nephew!", "I just bought that yesterday!"...please!...tell it to the judge!!

No dice woman! This is something that will not go unpunished, I will definitely think twice before I ever give you money to pay the rent, no more Mr. nice guy. I will now take control of the family situation, it's going to be me/myself and I; in fact I'm going to buy a little fridge where I'll keep the things that need to be in a cold environment and I'm going to buy a small closet where I'll keep all the good stuff under lock and key. You know it really hurts when somebody you're supposed to trust with your life hides something as sacred as chocolate covered peanuts from you...

Dripping my life away

Happy days to you and yours!

I know I'm late but things have changed ever since my daughter started her new school. First of all she's crazy about it now and even gets insulted when we remind her that a couple of days ago she was crying because she didn't want to leave the other one. The other thing is that she's taking transportation to school, this frees up some valuable time for my wife that can now have breakfast at ease and when working she doesn't have to worry about picking my daughter up from school because she takes the school bus back home! I'm crazy about that school!!

Oh yeah, I'm also late because it just finished having my bath.

I don't know what I was going to blog about today but something changed inside of me once I heard the dripping of the faucet yet again! It drives me beeping mad that my daughters and my wife don't pay attention to the dripping sound. Sometimes they put me to bed and we go on to sleep when suddenly I hear the dripping sound: "drip.. drip.. drip.." I immediately pick up the phone and call my wife to tell her to come in close the faucet properly, I don't care if she's asleep, these people have to learn to turn off a faucet properly. You know what the sad part is? I actually had the faucet checked and they replaced the washers telling me that this was the problem. I wish I had the phone number of the people that did the job so I can call and tell them that the washers are not the problem, that is more complicated than that and there's probably no solution unless we get professional help from a psychiatrist that will help my family understand that the faucet is their friend. That or I get divorce and I will site that the problem resides with the dripping faucet...

The doctor and the movie

Hello!

Well I just finished "speaking" to the doctor so he could refill my prescriptions at the pharmacy, I put speaking in between quotes because it was more of a waiting game. I think I must have been on the phone for about half an hour, 26 minutes were probably waiting on line for the secretary to pick up the line and asked me what I needed. Polite me I started by introducing myself, the conversation went downwards from then on, she kept on insisting that I needed to go and see the doctor first, I tried to explain to her that it was only a prescription refill but no dice. So at the end of it I told her the magic words: "okay, if you could please have the doctor come on over to my house so he can do a checkup". She realized then that my dossier reads that I am a person with limited mobility and therefore if I need to see the doctor he has to come to me. The whole conversation changed, she then asked me the names of the prescription to refill and told me that the doctor would call the pharmacy.


Well speech recognition sucks when you have a cold, I've been writing this post very carefully because the words keep on getting messed up. Hopefully a couple more days and I should be able to resume blogging without any problems.

I started to work on the movie today, I think I changed my mind and will probably do a normal movie not a black-and-white without sound, it seems people don't like that. I did the texts that need to be there for explanation purposes now I'll just have to shoot the movie.

Tuesday morning in the Sun

How are you doing?

Today my daughter went to her new school, she was happy and eager to go. The visit they had yesterday did the trick, when she came back from school she was all happy that her new school was cool and classes were much smaller. Not to mention this morning she was super thrilled that she was going on the school bus for the first time in her life. I'm pretty sure she's going to be happy and will tell me all about it when she gets back.

So my bath guy came early today, I don't mind I get to be active a little bit sooner, I get to work on my movie earlier thus having more energy to dedicate to this project. Call me Cesar B. DeMille!

Today is a beautiful day, very sunny and by being so is warning us that it's freaking cold outside! In winter when it's sunny 90% of the time it's very cold, today is no exception we are at -25° but we're expecting to hit +7 on Thursday, spring is coming back! I know this also because I got an e-mail from Six Flags the company that administers La Ronde, the amusement park, regarding season tickets; I always buy them for my girls so that they can go and have some fun during the summer. This year will not be an exception.

Okay, off to work on my project it is!

Super Chuck: The trailer

Done! I finished the trailer and it should be on my channel, search for cbgmtl in YouTube, it's kind of difficult to make any video for me, the usage of the hands is limited and I make a lot of mistakes making my tiredness kick in.

I don't get many hits on YouTube from you guys, you guys are against video? I know that I've gotten a couple hits but not something to scream about, I wish it had the same flow as my blog has. Oh well, maybe one day I'll get subscribers to my channel and they will be eager to hear from me also.

The school of my daughter is going to be a little bit earlier and will be finishing about 10 minutes later, the good side of this? She will be getting the help she requires as well as transportation to and from, and I'm not sure but I think I won't need to pay eye keeping fees at lunchtime, at least this is what I was told.

Creativeness

Hello!

Well, it's settle. I started production of my short clip that will be uploaded and playing on YouTube, I've just posted a small clip announcing the short film and just to let them know that I'm still alive. I also started to work on the text already and I got a couple of neat ideas that I will be working on this afternoon, maybe I'll do a trailer first just to wet the appetite of the masses out there.

So this morning my little daughter was going to go and visit her new school with her current teacher, she was going to show her new class as well as her new teacher. This morning she seemed eager to go and visit the new school and tomorrow she will start. I hope she liked it today so she can come eager to start tomorrow, come to think of it I have to call the new school to find out at what time that transport is going to come and pick her up.

I wanted to post some pictures of this weekend's event but I haven't received any from the people that took the photos, so I would have to put them on a later post.

Okay, I got got to go and work on that trailer that I want to post on YouTube.

Spreading the dream

How are you doing today people?

Well the weekend is over, finally, I had 10 tacos on Saturday and a French baguette on Sunday, plus 4 pieces of cake, I definitely think I put on at least 5 pounds more this weekend. Most of my gifts were cash but I also did get a bottle of wine from my brother and a nice balloon surprise from my cousin, below is a picture of it. Inside this balloon, that apparently she made, there is a bottle of cider and sugar-free candy for me, I wanted to pop it open yesterday night but is too beautiful to burst so I have it there as decoration, hoping is not going to pop at night and wake me up suddenly. I had a good time both Saturday and Sunday, thanks to all my family member and friends.

Over the weekend I came up with a new project, once again, for my video blog: it's going to be a movie! Well not exactly a movie but a bigger clip than last time and it's going to be in black-and-white. Basically it will tell the story of a Canadian superhero that came from the planet Craptium, a lesser known planet than krypton but with the same cosmological problems as it. Both planets had the same idea and sent their hopes and dreams package in little capsules towards Earth, one landed south of the 49th parallel and the other one landed in Brossard Québec Canada. You all know about Clark Kent and now prepared to meet super Chuck and his sidekicks, I even asked my sister-in-law for jingle to go along with it so be on the lookout for this clip in a YouTube near you.

Jesus! 4 molletes, 1 whole French baguette for myself, yup I probably put on 5 piunds over the last 2 days! It was good, my wife over did herself again this year. It's going to be hard to surpass this next year, maybe have a crab salad with saltines and water to avoid additional kilos, the chair can take 400 pounds and the thing they use to lift me back and forth takes 450 pounds, so we still safe. Hopefully tomorrow I will have pictures for you.

Well my wife did the second cake and prepared everything for today, the only thing missing is the French baguettes, she will buy them later on today so that they will be fresh. I will try to restrain from over eating like yesterday, I will only have 1 piece of cake.

Yesrerday night, the change of school hit my little daughter again, she started to cry her ass off because Tuesday she will start going to her new school and there's no turning back. I hate this, I don't like to see her cry, it hurts my soul.

Taco Saturday

Hello!

Well it was a taco party to end all parties. I hate like there is no tomorrow, I had 10, count them 10 tacos! Plus 2 pieces of home made "3 leches" cake, google it, it is a very delicious Mexican cake that takes the perfect hand to make and as luck would have it my wife is the equivalent of a Mexican Betty Crocker. Tomorrow we have part 2 of the celebration, more Mexican food and another cake...at least 10 pounds in 2 days...Alkazeltser time!!

Over my thinking of this week, I decided to make another B&W movie with a story line and I will beg my sister-in-law to record a gingle with her quartet for my clip, it will be more professional, keep you posted.

Old classics

Hello!

It's been one of those days, I've been trying to get a video off the ground with my little daughter and it seems the universe has it against me again! My first try the camera wouldn't give me an image, giving me an error code but since the booklet is in Chinese I couldn't read diddly squat, so I uninstalled the device, restarted the machine and voilà! Or was it a voilà? No, it wasn't. I started my second try and everything went perfect even the stupid hamster smiled at the camera, presto! No, not so presto after all! I forgot to capture the audio, so unless I was making this video for a crowd that likes silent movies this video was not presto at all. Then I wanted to start the last try but my co-stars were too tired and wanted to do it later. But my second try gave me an idea that I will implement on an abbreviated short clip.

So my daughter will be going to the new school this coming Tuesday, her teacher will be making her visit to new school as well as a new class and classmates. She actually seems eager to start and I'm pretty sure that everything is going to be all right now. Tomorrow is tacos Saturday, I will be having tacos al pastor my mother-in-law and sister-in-law will be making them for us, then come Sunday I will be having the molletes with my brothers. It is promising to be an exciting weekend.

How are you today?

Today my girls have the day off and my wife went to work. My little one has gone back to a normal state although you can hear that there is a touch of sadness in her voice, a look of uncertainty over her future at the new school. Hopefully she will go through it fine, yesterday my wife took her to visit the new school on the outside and she seemed to like it.

Why am I my late today? Well, my oldest daughter is going to debate 2 different ideologies at her school, so I had to give her some pointers, basically she asked me for help. In the first debate she will be defending the idea that computers help people broaden their social horizons, I told her what she should say or how to go about saying it. On the second debate she will be attacking the other team was defending the ideology that money can buy happiness, I think she got my point, she's actually writing her work now with the ideas I provided her with. She's going to make the other team cry!

Today I will be working on another video but I will post it until Monday and I will not put it on my Facebook account, I did that yesterday and it was a big mistake I got all the comments in Facebook and not on YouTube like I wanted to. Also, as the suggestion of my director, a.k.a. my daughter, I will smile more and be happier not serious as she claims I am, "act like you're not constipated...", yup I can see Brad Pitt being directed by my daughter.

The Mexican weekend

Well I have gotten positive feedback on my video blog and mixed feedback on wether to make it an everyday thing or once in a while. I think that I will do it once in a while because if I do it everyday it will kinda be redundant to my blog.

Tonight was the night were the family got together to see the programs that we record during the week to see them on the weekend but since the girls have no school tomorrow and Saturday and Sunday will be celebration days, we saw the shows tonight. I didn't tell you about this weekend? Saturday will be tacos al pastor day and Sunday will be molletes Sundau...what do you want, I married a Mexican babe, I just wish she could do fried ice cream like at the restaurant....

Fortune cookie fortune

Things are looking up today...the fortune cookie was right and here's why!

First of all my daughter left happy to school, she seems to have accepted her fate if this is so then I would be relieved. Second of all although I didn't get the 5 million hits I was expecting on my vlog, I got 29! Last but not least I started production of my second video and I'm currently uploading it as I write. My oldest daughter did help me a bit more with her critique/tips on how to attract more viewers, the kid is a subscriber to many places and faces that she will never meet and out of all the viewing hours she has put on them, she retains the pros and cons of their video. She wanted more lighting, she got it! She wanted more concentration on the camera, she got it! She wanted me to wear mascara and a hairpiece...Whoa Skippy, I don't do that!! Be happy that I used all your other ideas in my second vlog, stupid voice-recognition it doesn't recognize the word vlog!

And to top it all off, just moments ago I got the collage I worked on for several weeks! I told my brothers that I had forgotten their wives and my Nana on it, my oldest brother laughed it off but my younger brother called me a dork and didn't seem happy about it. It was an honest mistake, seriously! I would never do something like that willingly, now I have to save some mula to be able to get another one and this time with everyone included. Sorry girls...

How are we this fine Thursday?

Well it was one of those evenings yesterday, as per the director and the psychiatrist of my daughter I called my little one down and sat her on the sofa to explain to her that she was changing school and why. I have seen many episodes of people with problems such as OCD, compulsive hoarding and other syndromes, I always thought that this was fake and these were people Trying to Get on TV. Not True! My little one cried her ass off yesterday, between the sobbing she kept on repeating that she wasn't ready for it, that she didn't want to go, she melted my heart off. This went on for about an hour, way past dinnertime and her older sister was getting hungry, so I decided to try to make her feel better and I asked her if she wanted some food delivered to the house. She agreed, she wanted barbecue chicken, I asked my oldest one if she wanted some too she said no, she wanted chicken tacos! Okay, one take out food and some chicken tacos coming up. At this point my little one was still sad through her supper, then the phone rang and it was grandma (Lela as she calls her), talk about experience; she was able to calm her down way more than the barbecue chicken. And the cherry on top?!? It was when my wife promised her that today there were going to go and buy a toy for her to play with. She was feeling much better! It was a parent's nightmare of an evening...

Well I got 27 views on my video yesterday and 1 like, but no comments or subscribers. This will not stop me, today in the afternoon I will be posting another vlog again, hopefully I will get more views. Just like my blog here, I got five followers here and if it wasn't for the statistics that get compile in the background, I wouldn't know that there is people reading me out there. I'm like the blogger that people like to read but are ashamed to admit they read the blog, the dark blogger that's me!

New beginning for my daughter and me

Hello!

Well I got several comments regarding my first v-blog, so far they have been favorable.

I was on a blog high when my daughter's school call me to inform me that they had found a place in a special school where she will now be going to as of next week, this brought me down because it's going to be an uphill battle trying to make my daughter understand that this is better for her. The teachers will give her more time and she will be studying at her own pace, I immediately call my therapist that suggested that I let her know as of tomorrow. My heart goes out to all the parents that have kids with any special needs be it as small as they can be and me that thought I was having a wonderful day...

So this Sunday it appears I will be having that mollethon I talked about with my brothers and sister in laws, it's going to be something simple just a small get-together to wish ourselves happy birthday. The persons that are going to be absent of this so far are my older brother, he will be "working" in Las Vegas, my little brother will be probably absent because of birthday related issues and I haven't heard from my two other brothers, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Productive morning people! I created a video as an intro to my life, a v-blog, I edited, put some music and published it. I skipped the part about the approval of my daughter and my wife. Right now the video cannot be seen on YouTube because it's being processed, I guess somebody has to give the approval for that video prior to being available for viewing.

My oldest brother is going to Las Vegas, work related you know, I hope he also has time to have some fun, maybe I will give him some money so that he can play slot machines and see if I win anything, my little brother did this and he's hoping that his $40 dollars will make him some money.

Old bastard and me

How is everybody?

So today's the day I'm going to be doing a video blog or as my daughter calls it, and perhaps everybody else, a vlog. The other certain things that are going to happen prior to me posting this thing on YouTube, my wife and my daughter would like to see it first so that they can give me the green light. I told them I didn't really want to do this, first of all I got the voice of a woman, no offense ladies, second of all I have a tiny accent the bugs the hell out of me and I get too self conscience of the situation and start panicking. My wife tells me that she will be honest with me, that when she reads my blog she likes it because it makes her laugh, so she will be truthful and letting me know in the video has the same effect. So be on the lookout for that one, I will keep you posted.

So my brother's boss call me yesterday to wish me a happy birthday, this guy is hilarious when I grow old I want to be just like him, a funny dirty old man with an attitude of I don't give a shit what people think. At the end of our conversation he told me that if I needed anything to let him know and never to go through my brother because he diluted my requests -open-door!- I told him immediately to send cash! Knowing him, he will probably send me 5 cents, claiming that his company did send cash to an MS guy. He will probably want a receipt for tax purposes... God bless him!

The end of the innocence

Hello!

So what happens when you go to sleep? Today I woke up with this question on my mind because I noticed I had a cut on my right hand that wasn't there the night before. What gives?!? I started thinking, backtracking my actions the previous night and I don't recall having cut myself prior to going to sleep. Yet this morning I woke up with a pain in between two of my fingers, what's that I said to myself, what could it be? A cut! Where the hell did I get that? How did I get that? I don't think I have bed bugs, my mattress is made of rubber and I don't think bugs can live in it, so what the hell is it? I haven't found an answer to my question yet, I don't think it's ghosts if I had some I would point them towards the stairs where they can go and bug my ladies up there, but I'll keep an eye out just in case.

My celebration will be taking place this Sunday, I am going to organize, my wife will be cooking, a mollethon! Basically it will be a session of eating molletes, 2-3 maybe 4, this plate consists of a French roll or French baguette which you toast in the oven with cheese and refried beans after that you put on some pico de gallo (tomato, cilantro, onions etc.) and avocados. You can easily eat a whole French baguette by person, I know I could probably take on one. But this is only an idea that I talked to my wife about since I got to check the availability of my brothers seeing that they will all be having their own personal parties to celebrate the Aquarius in their lives.

On another note, my daughter and cousin would like me to start v-blogging, this is where the money is. Apparently they have heard success stories regarding this, people on YouTube have made millions doing this, they get free stuff and a solid following. I told them that I don't think I'm ready for this because I feel I am not videogenic/photogenic, my daughter went as far as to tell me that it would probably draw in the crowds. I told them that I was happy doing what I do, that in 3 months I have made close to $15 dollars that I haven't seen yet because I will only get paid when I reach $100 dollars, so I got 12 more months to go, maybe more. I'm letting this idea float in the air just to prepare you for the possibility of me YouTubing myself and having a blog and a V-blog at the same time.

That's it for me this day, the sun has gone down and I am now 1 year older and 50 wiser.

Another birthday gone

Well it's been a birdie so far, two breakfast, two lunches and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get to suppers too. The first breakfast was a cheese omelette with coffee, the second one was a pancake with bacon, now my oldest brother is coming to wish me a happy birthday with lunch-I'm pretty sure is going to be MacDonalds-and I got my Meals on Wheels lunch in the fridge who knows what they have sent me! God I can't believe I ate the whole thing!

Besides that I have gotten wishes from a lot of people from different regions of the globe, I thanked each and every one of them for their thoughts and to those who I couldn't thank I hope they continue sending me automatic electronic e-mails wishing me a happy birthday; thank you Alarm birthdays, thank you Virgin radio 96, thank you okCupid (what do you want? I was pretty lonely at the time), thank you all automatic processing thingamajig! I'm pretty sure you guys also get automatic e-mails wishing you happy birthdays on your birthday, if you once put your birthday date in a computer I'm pretty sure you get e-mails wishing you a happy Rosh Hashanah or something like that making you feel less lonely that day, I feel loved...

Yay me! It's my birthday and I already have stories to tell this morning.

This morning my little one came to wish me a happy birthday and she told me in her own way to forgive her because she's hadn't bought anything for me but that being resourceful as she is she had come up with the perfect idea, how about you call in sick for me at school so I can be the whole day with you? What? This is the big surprise, no baby you have to go to school. But Dada I want you to be happy. Baby I am happy trust me, no you don't understand I want you to feel good. Dear Lord baby, I feel great!

So after her convincing, I called the school to let them know that my youngest daughter was not going to be attending school today. Seeing that this worked, my oldest daughter came down sneezing and sniffling wishing me a happy birthday and informing me that she didn't feel so good, she would like to have the day off also because she felt sick. Okay, I guess is going to be a free school day Tuesday. So I called her school also but as I was hanging up the phone my youngest daughter started to giggle and saying "oh yeah baby, no school!" I'm pretty sure that the people that hear the messages are gonna hear her voice and wonder WTF was that!? So my oldest daughter is gonna have some explaining to do tomorrow when she goes back to school.

And this ladies and gentlemen is my gift from my daughters to me today!

Birthday jitters

Happy Tuesday to you all!

And why shouldn't you have a happy Tuesday?!? I will most likely have one myself, it will be my birthday!! Yeay me!! 43, count them 43 years old and I feel like 20...ish border line 35. I won't celebrate until the weekend and even then it will be a low key affair...lunch type of thing. And thus another Aquarius era comes to a close, we all gotten a little older and not much wiser!

So this evening was spent working on my family tree, I discovered that my great great grandmother had 3 daughters that were all from different fathers....and that she use to be a mean bee with an itch...wow! It's amazing what you learn when digging around. Now I have to start putting this on paper for posterity...

I feel old

Sorry about that people, I meant to write another post earlier on but I fell asleep thus the reason why this is my third post today like always.

Well I went over the picture that is supposed to be the surprise for my family and I found out that there's not only one mistake but several of them. Besides my cutting of my oldest aunt, I forgot to include in this work of art by three sister-in-laws which I known for many many years, not to mention I forgot to include my Nana which basically knows me since I was born! What a dork!! I will have to create another one to include them in it my apologies to them for whatever emotional trouble I put them through.

So tomorrow is the big 4-3, I will blog about it and probably put a picture of myself at this stage of the game. Not much to look at but then again neither is Brad Pitt, except he puts a lot of expensive makeup on them makes him look good, if I had the money I would do the same thing! Well I think that's enough for me today, I will definitely blog tomorrow unless the universe and its twisted little mind decides to terminate my life while sleeping...

By boring afternoon

Well I had my bath and I just finished eating, it seems is going to be a quiet day today, not much happening so I think I will vegetate while listening to music or maybe there is a interesting/boring program on TV that is going to knock me into Lala land. No luck, I've just checked the TV and there seemed to be only old boring boring programs that make you want to change the channel, I'm not falling asleep with that type of programs.

I just discovered a mistake with the collage that I made, I swear it was an honest mistake and you have to really have a trained eye to catch it. I inadvertently chopped off one of my aunts, I hope she has in her heart to forgive me, what am I talking about? I don't even speak to that lady, last time I saw her was in 1998 and she branded me as a boozer because I was drinking a couple of beers while seeing a soccer game; and this was in my country, several thousand miles away from here. My mother and her don't get along anyways, so I shouldn't think about it yet I know that I didn't make a perfect project because of this. Maybe next time...

Well it was a beating yesterday and the commercials were not that great either, kudos to Snickers, Doritos, Bud light and other companies that provided us with funny commercials. It was an event, I had hot dogs, chips and dips, it was okay. I think to make it more interesting I'll be joining a fantasy football league next year, I have never joined anything and I don't know if I'll like it. Well at least the season is over...

So, yesterday I mistakenly said something about the gift that I worked on and will be coming over this week, my wife jumped into the occasion, begged and begged until I could no longer keep the secret, so I spilled the beans! I showed her what was coming our way because I kept a copy of it, it's pretty cool! I got the idea from her sister, I'd never had something like this it will be the first time. I know my wife liked it she was impressed, I have included a picture of what it is and everybody from the family is in there, trust me, even my great grandparents.

Chips and dips

Hello!

Don't get your hopes high, it's Super Bowl Sunday thus the reason you're getting treated to three post from from me today, instead of the usual one on weekends.

I've been watching Fox sports to inform myself of the season that just passed on the NFL, I started reminiscing when I was ` little boy and I started watching football. Back then my favorite football team was the Pittsburgh Steelers with Terry Bradshaw as a quarterback, I converted to the Redskins when I myself played football. So there's no surprise when I hope that the Pittsburgh Steelers win the Lombardi trophy. I also have a favorite baseball team, I know what you're going to say, the Montréal Expos are no longer there, right? Well it's not them. Ever since I was a kid I used to cheer for the Boston Red Sox, I love their stadium with its tall wall and one side and the opposite on the other side, my baseball hero was Mr. Rice. As for hockey, I have always been a fan of the Canadians, go figure, now don't get me started in soccer, when the World Cup comes around I root for the only Latin team that defends the continent's honor, Brazil.

I am desperately trying to reach my wife because I would like her to buy some chips, soda pop and any other yummy food for today's game, especially salsa and/or dip, I don't know who's to blame for that mishap, my wife or the cell phone or my little daughter turning off the volume. I'm pretty sure it's going to be blame on my little girl even though she's an innocent bystander. But if I don't get the chips and dips I'm going to be a very sour football fan this evening.
