Lost in translation

Hello!

Well today is the official last day of school for my oldest daughter as tomorrow she gets to go to the amusement park with her school, little does she know that it's going to be raining all day long! But back to the last day of school thing, I was seeing the schedule of exams and she has today and it is a French reading exam. I would say that she would be allowed to come back home afterwards but no, she must attend the gala ceremony for students that are worthy of such a thing. Well for my daughter it's not the case, she's from a long line of misunderstood students, just like me and her grandmother before me, school is not our thing. We tend to exceed out what we call life, I admitted I was a less than average student always missing class and getting a 50 or 60% tops. All of that changed in college when I decided to straighten up. My grades went from 50 to 60% to 90+ percent, I was so good that all the universities in the area accepted me, I went for the one that had the best history program, U de M (University of Montréal). So I expect the same from my daughter, her high school it's going to be average but I know she's going to exceed in life.

On another note, my daughter had lost her cell phone and her mother found it yesterday for her, it was left near my computer and today it rang. This is how the conversation went:

- "Hello?"
- "May I speak with mimon please?"
- "Mimon is dead!"
- "What?!"

Kids these days, they have no sense of humor. My daughter's friend just hung up the phone after that and I had to call my daughter and let her know that a friend had called here and what had happened. I hope she doesn't get freaked out because my daughter is not really dead, she's just eating at a fast food place right now with her other friends...

Take care people!

PS blogspot still on the fritz, once again thank God for H T freaking ML!
