Hello!
Well I've been hacking away at the book with no success, granted I'm not a very patient man but when you get so close to your goal you want to see results right away. Plus, and this is a big plus, these people back then used to write their lingo in a very sophisticated way. It's very hard to read, I don't know exactly what the name of the font is but Lord they also most have speak their Spanish the same way they write it, very sophisticated, very hard to understand. In the book of my grandmother they have a funny way to say next year, instead of saying next year they say something like "future past" or in Spanish proximo pasado. Also, I have to take in consideration that when a kid was born back then it could take many months before being registered, not only did the hospitals didn't have any contact with City Hall, the women in general had to wait 40 days before he could take out her offspring, as an example my grand uncle was born in January but he was only registered until May. In the picture below it states that he was born on January 8th, yet the date when he was registered is May 22nd.
Needless to say that my hands are getting tired and I will take a well-deserved break before I keep on going.
Take care folks!
