The doctor cometh

Hello!

So the doctor came at 3:05 PM and the first thing he did is bring my doorbell. Now it's not the first time he comes here, he has come before and he knows that he has to enter through the patio door, so I'm hearing the doorbell ring as I opened my patio door and start waving frantically to him yelling doctor, doctor. After a couple of minutes he saw the frantic fat guy at the patio door and he realized that this was the way to go in. He apologized for having made me look like a nut, he walked into my house and took out his coat and took out his big file on me.

Well first things first, he told me the good news about my last urine sample the took, good news I have no infection. Then his looked changed it became more austere, kind of like the look of someone who's about to beat the living crap out of you, I know this look I have used it many times. He asked me what was going on with my diabetes, how come it wasn't controled. I explained to him that I was the one to blame seeing that I was over indulging in certain things that probably I shouldn't. I told him that I had a plan of action, but this plan had been device with the help of my old doctor friend who no longer practice because he has MS. He acknowledged my plan was good and gave me a month to change my sugar readings. The plan is simple really, I will take more insulin in the morning to carry me through the day and then increase a bit at night so that my sugar level in the morning should be okay. The one thing that changed is that instead of taking insulin at 9 PM I will have to take it at 5 PM so that I give it time to work. So I was off the hook on that one.

Then out of left-field he asked me how my arm was doing. My arm? Nothing is wrong with it I said. He looked at his notes and he told me that a while back I couldn't even lift up my left arm and that it was in constant pain. I told him that this was a while back and it was probably due to MS because now my left arm doesn't hurt and I had more mobility with.

He said he was going to talk to my nurse so that she can call me more often about my sugar.

Have a great weekend people!
