2010 final post

Hello!
Ok, so I lied about one more post for the year! The truth is that don't know what else to do until my guests arrive at 9:00PM, that's the time we selected this year for our chillithon. Very gringolandia theme this year, but I am all for it.

So my wife gave signs of life and she should be coming home soon to prepare the house, myself and herself to celebrate new year's eve. Then tomorrow I have to remember to write 2011 on the checks instead of 2010, I hate it when it happens!
I think that I will ask my wife to put me in bed while I wait for nine o'clock to come by like that I will be rested and fresh for this evening events.

Here's hoping you have a nice one, I know Korea had one!

Carlos Guzman a.k.a. Chuck Guzman

One for the road

Hello!

So Korea will be reaching 2011 pretty soon now as for the rest of us will just have to wait a bit longer.

Surprise surprise surprise! My oldest daughter said today that for New Year's she would like to have season one and two of lost! I called her over and told her "dear, for New Year's eve there is no such thing as a present." She was baffled, she asked why the kids in Mexico are going to be getting presents on January 6, I told her because that was the belief in Mexico, that the kids over there didn't get presents for Christmas. She then started to debate the absence of presents for New Year's in Canada as well as in Mexico. She made some valid points but at the end there was only one point that made the difference: "look dear, I think Santa has enough on his plate to also start giving presents on New Year's eve. I think that for that time, no I don't think, I know that for the time Santa is always broke." I think that drew the point home because she stopped asking questions.

On another note today, my wife will be working in the morning and then rushing back home to prepare the house, get me ready, visit my mother with the girls and go to her dinner party with her family, about an hour away from here, to celebrate New Year's eve. All of these things happening after she passed by the supermarket to buy food for the next following days, January 1st is a legal holiday in Québec and therefore anything and everything is close. Isn't she superwoman? That's why merried her.

Well happy new years to you and yours, maybe next year be better than this one!

Thanks for listening!

My dream

Hello!

2011 is at the door, are you ready for it?

Well today is the day when everything changes for me, my dream is coming to get me. Yes, I have a dream everytime lotto max reaches $50 million dollars and tomorrow is it! How do I know I will win it? Come on, I went over this already, the Castro brothers!

But what matters is that I must be ready for it with a plan of action, I'm there, here is my plan:

1- Pay my debts

2- Buy a solid gold wheelchair, ok I'll settle for a 4x4 wheelchair

3- Build a house that is adapted to my needs

4- Hire 3 nurses from the CLSC to attend me..has to be the prettiest ones

5- Hire 2 people from the CLSC to give me bath...girls and good looking ones

6- Buy an adapted car, a rolls could do the trick

7- Invest money in a busines venture

8- Get a Rolex watch

9- buy an iPad for my wife

10- Get a good lawyer, cause you always need one

That's my plan so far, if I don't win tomorrow I will be really really ticked off, it took me a while to recover from last $50 million dollars I didnt win.

I am going to zleep now, my eyes are shutting down...

Happy last day of 2010!!

Tiptoe through the tulips

Hello!

Good whatever to you people!

So everything is back to "normal", the nurse came and changed the catheter for a bigger caliber and brought some supplies to help my wife with the cleansing of the catheter, I didn't know you had to do that. So I'm now blogging from my computer through voice-recognition and I wish to reiterate my thanks to the people who sent me e-mails or commented on my blog about keeping my hopes up.

Tomorrow, last day of the year! We are having chili down with my brothers and family, we have all been giving our designated dishes, my family is supposed to provide the dessert, we'll buy a freaking cake! When I think about it our holidays festivities have been very Tex-Mex this year, I wonder why? I think that for next year I will try to rent a place and catered the events.

Oh yeah, I found this picture of me when I was in fourth grade, it's a group photo see if you can determine where I am, I'll give you a hint: I'm the best looking guy!

I was always good looking

In the photo below I was one year and six months, damn time doesn't respect anyone!

It's in the genes

Oh well, happy last day of the year!

Grand Central

Hello!
How are you guys??
First a big thanks for the encouraging words of some of my readers regarding MS, gracias...that having been said...
Boy was it like grand central station here today!!! The afternoon is just begining and I already had 4 visits already, the wheelchair repairman, the nurse for her monthly visit, my little brother and the Thurday bath, plus this afternoon the nurse is coming back!

- "Why?"

Because she fell in love with me, why do you think?? No! It's a funny story, this morning the nurse came and she was going to change the catheter. I told her that it had been changed 2 days ago, so we both concluded that it was safe to leave that one in its place. Guess what?? No don't guess anymore, as an inner voice you are quite dumb, the catheter blocked again!!! So who's coming back? The nurse!!

- "This is where you have wild sex with her, right?"

I told you that you were dumb! She's going to change the catheter and put a wider caliber...bigger pee hole...hope she's gentel with me, I'll tell her it's my first time.

Hopefully I'll be up by 2:30Pm!

Happy Thursday!

Dysphoria

Hello!

Happy days to you!

Yesterday when the guy that came to fix the Wchair there was a second that I felt like life had short changed me, an emotion of despair came over me and to be honest, there was a second of internal sadness that took over my soul. I know, people have ups and downs in this life but I've been getting pummeled left and right 24/7 by the universe that apparently I have wronged in another lifetime. I obviously blame MS the root of all my checkmates, what other choice do I got? Ever since I contracted this silly thing I have gone down in a spiral non-stopt!, all my ailements have one source MS!

What ailments you ask? I will skip them all safe one that triggered my dysphoria, baldness!!! The guy that came yesterday was my age and had a set of hair that could make a youngster cry, the obvious difference between him and me is that I have MS and thus the hair loss, the inability to walk has made me gain weight and my overall looks have their origins anchored on the disease!!

There...I have vomited the venom that perturbed my inner me! And today I get to see him back...curse you life...curse you!

A bed day

Hello!

How are you people?

Well looks like tomorrow is going to be a bed day for me, my wheelchair is semi-broken but the switch for the tilting mechanism is broken.

Today a technician from the CMR came to repair the chair, he left and it was still working until my wife came home and I wanted to sit straight...no dice! The switch wasn't working again. So I call the CMR so they come and repair it tomorrow but in the mean time I will have to stay in bed because it is too difficult to transfer to and from the chair. So when I blog tomorrow it will be from my Itouch.

Have a nice humpday!

Mexican April fool

Hello!

Good day to you all!

December 28th is the equivalent to April 1st for Latin American countries, so there's lots of April fools joke except they're in December.

Yesterday, my wife, her sister, the electro-magnetic guru and I were fooled by a practical joke created by the derrange mind of my wife's youngest sister.

She made us believed that she was pregnant, that the boyfriend didn't care, that an abortion was too late and that she was going to give the baby up for adoption. Worst, she didn't know how to tell her mother.

So you had all of us looking for solutions to this dilema, both couples were ready to adopt the kid as soon as she or he was born! As for telling her mother, good luck with that, it was nice knowing you.

This morning we get a call informing us that the little shit had pulled an April's fool on us..,nice going kid....wait till April, I'll think of something...

My mother the hero

Hello!

Yes, I have a mother!

I know that throughout my posts I have mentioned my brothers, my wife and kids, my great grandparents, grandparents and other people that have been in and out of my life. But I have never mentioned that I do have a mother and that she had amazing stories to tell her kids as they were growing up. My mother did get married but her relationship with my dad was a rocky one and at the end of it all she had to play the role of mother and father to her kids.

Below are a couple of pictures of the most amazing mother a kid could ask for, she had more balls than all of her four kids put together... Immigrating to Canada 35 years ago and then raising and educating her offsprings. I don't judge her past, everybody has one, but is how people mold their future that counts and she did a heckuva job!

Let the show begin:

History in pictures

Blast from the past
Hello!

I was cleaning up my hard disk and came to these old pictures I have, I wanted to share them with you so that you can see how my life was prior to falling on the wheelchair with my MS thing.

Now the picture above is a photograph of the four brothers when we had hair and we looked rather spiffy. The below picture is one demonstrating how we used to party during the Christmas events. That's a very expensive watch I am wearing that I later gave away to my little brother after an afternoon of eating and drinking at a tavern, a.k.a the pub. I used to love collecting expensive watches until time stopped for me on January 29th 2008.

Los Panchos singing away
Then I went even deeper and found a picture of when we were kids and went to Mexico by car, taking this picture of my cousins and my aunt. This was a trip that I rather forget, Chuck here had a diarrhea accident and he couldn't find the toilet paper, so what did he use? The next logical thing, women's hygiene pads, Tampax!

Left to right: Me, oldr bro, older cousin and aunt.
Bottom row: 3rd brother and cousin Y
Kneeling down and cousin A:
Why don't I like putting the names of my family? Because I haven't gotten their authorization, plus my brother the lawyer says that I shouldn't do this. Now the last picture all the brothers are there and the gentleman sitting down is a very close friend that is also affected with the illness that I have, MS.

The Guzman crew and the doc.
Now I will keep on cleaning my hard disk and seeing if I have any other old pictures that I might want to share with you.

Have a good day!

McDs is back

Hello!

How are we doing today just couple of days before the new year?

Guess what? I'm having the big M for breakfast, you know the place that my daughter was upset because they had shut it down? I was right, they were just updating the place and now it's open again! So my wife was going out early this morning to give a lift to her mom and I told her to buy McD's for breakfast. My daughters are still asleep so it's going to be a surprise for them.

Today I get on a bath and I will start grooming myself for the new years eve get-together, if there's ever one. Not my brothers have shown signs of life for this event. Mind you, there isn't anything much to do to prepare such an event, just a couple of plates of food, some pop, some grapes for midnight and voila! The grapes? That's a tradition, every New Year's eve each of the guests gets 12 grapes, green grapes, so when midnight comes they are supposed to eat one grape at a time for the last 12 seconds of the year. I was forgetting something, you are supposed to toast the new year, so a bottle of champagne is de rigeur.

Well this is what's supposed to happen for New Year's eve but I haven't seen any e-mail exchange requesting the contribution that each family is supposed to bring to this event.

Well I hope you have a wonderful day today, I will keep you posted regarding my new years eve thing and I will take pictures.

Adios!

A brief insight

Hello!

How's the e-people doing??

I guess I still had some leftover Zzzz even if I napped in the afternoon, I just woke up from my slumber. Let's hope that I'll be able to sleep soundly tonight and that my nurse calls me tomorrow.

So did you like the picture? As additional information, in one picture I am with all my brothers but one didn't show up and on the other one I am with the one that was missing but now the other one is missing! I also included one where most of my nieces and nephews appear. As you can see I haven't been lying to you, the guy on the pictures always sitting down is me and the guy standing on my left near to me is my oldest brother and the one on my right is my little brother that comes and feed me and take care of me every afternoon and with whom I have "deep" conversations about life. My oldest brother, my little brother and I are the ones I talked about in my post regarding freemasonry, we are Free Masons.

And that is an insight into my world!

Happy whatever people!

We are

Hello!

So I took some well deserved shut eye on my wheelchair hoping that the events that happened early this morning will not repeat themselves again.

I also got a couple of pictures from my daughter's birthday party and the Christmas Mexican dinner thing. I will share some of them with you so that you may know the people that revolve in my life, I must first warn you that we are not good looking, but I was once told that I look like an early Mel Gibson... Yeah I know! I always thought I looked more like Brad Pitt. Besides I have an excuse, I got MS remember and being ugly is a side effect. The other guys I have no idea why they are ugly.

Hope you enjoyed the pics!

THe good looking guy is me
Still good looking

The joys of MS

Hello!

Good Tuesday to you.

Well let's give a hand for MS and its side effects!

- "Chuck, what's wrong?"

Guess at what time I went to sleep last night, this morning? Guess?

- "What time?"

Five! Five freaking o'clock in the morning!! There should be a pill that eliminates urine from your body.

This morning I was awoken by a pain in my pubic area, oh joy I said to myself, the freaking catheter isn't working. The catheter is the tube that has been inserted into my body to eliminate urine seeing that one of the side effects of MS is a dysfunctional bladder. So now what am I supposed to do? Well my wife has gotten enough sleep for one day so I'll wake her up. What can she do? Nothing really, but while I was on hold with the 24/7 emergency team I told her to remove the catheter see if anything was going to become out of my body, negative, I'll think I'll wait for the nurse to come online. After about 20 minutes I finally got a live person to talk to. She asked me the usual questions and then told me she was going to contact the nurse on call. Okay, will this person be calling me back I asked, she told me yes and that I had to set up the plan of action with him or her. Plan of action? Plan of action?! It's simple, just insert a new tube into me so that the urine can start flowing again.

The nurse called me, it was a guy, and asked me basic questions again, how long has it been since I noticed that the catheter wasn't working, what type of illness I have and if I had the material to change the catheter or did he had to bring some stuff. Bring some stuff! He confirmed that he would be here in 15 minutes, but to me it seemed like an eternity.

When the nurse came, he heard of the exploits that my wife had done, remove the catheter, he asked me why I had done this, that this is something that only a trained professional could do. I told him that I had no choice, that my pubic area was hurting too much so I decided to try anything I could. He then went on lecturing me about how dangerous this could have turned out to be, that the next time I should be patient and wait for the nurse from the response team to assist me. Okay, I promise, just stick that thing into me so that I can start peeing again!

And thus I went to sleep until about five o'clock in the morning and woke up at around 8 AM.

MS is fun kids, you just have to ride the wave!

Tuesday recap

Hello!

Good day to you.

Well one day closer to 2011 and next week I got my first doctor's appointment of the year, I guess my next will be in 3 months. I don't know why I still go and see him, there's no freaking cure!! Why waiste my time?! But I guess he wants to get paid or something, well it's part of the system, so to the doctor it is.

On another note, I think the nurse is coming tomorrow to change my catheter and I will be getting a bath also, so thing are coming together until the end of the week. I also call the CMR for my chair but they were closed, so I take it they will call me back on Tuesday, oh yeah, later today.

Well, cya soon

Wondering mind

Hello!

How is to Tuesday Korea?

You know I've been thinking about people that have been reading me in different countries but the one that I'm perplexed by it, perhaps because they've been a very loyal following is Korea, excuse me, South Korea.

I've been debating the issue with my wife on how do I know that these people are really reading. I tell her that analyzing the stats have shown me that people have been reading my posts and that South Korea has always been there, perhaps not as much as the US or Canada but nevertheless, a solid grip on third place.

Then that got me started, what if this is an American soldier stationed in South Korea reading my posts? You know, somebody in the DMZ! Wow, that would be as close to the frontline I will ever get. Being a history buff, I know a lot about world war 2, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and so on, but I would have never imagined that I would have a fan base in South Korea. Maybe this kid reading my blog is also a lost soul trying to find meaning to his life. Either way, thank you very much South Korea.

Also, the one that is coming up to my big surprise is Russia, a distance fourth followed by my country. Old Chuck here is becoming internationally known, this is going to be great for my book.

In a nutshell that's what I've been thinking this afternoon and I've been working on my family tree, trying to figure out who goes where and if there's any other famous relatives on my tree.

Have a good one people!

Silly Monday

Hello!

T-5 and counting before the year 2010 is gone, I hope you're having a wonderful day!

So this morning I thought the nurse from the CLSC was going to be coming over for her monthly visit but the visit has not materialized yet, also I thought the CMR was going to be open during the week but once again this has not happened, so my catheter although new still needs replacement and my wheelchair still broken. Don't you just love Christmas? Can't wait for the season to be over... No offense Santa.

If you recall last night I blogged about my new pet project, needless to say that I went to sleep in the wee hours of the morning, thinking about titles, the writing and anything associated with this new project. I haven't even started and I already see myself in the signing book tour! Oh yeah, I'm going to be a literary figure of the 21st century. I'm going to make so much money is not even funny, I won't remember my beginnings nor the little people who helped me along the way.

Then this morning reality check, I have to troubleshoot the installation of a game on my daughter's computer, I have to get in touch with my brothers regarding the celebration for the new year's dinner, I don't know if I'm going to be getting a bath today seeing that many places are still close and yes, I still have to blog so I don't lose the habit of it. Where is my assistance? Don't rich people have this type of things? Shouldn't I have gotten an advancement for my book? Writing a book is really complicated I guess, but I promise that when I hit it big I will always remember where I got my start and who was there to support me, the US, Canada, Korea, Russia, El Salvador and the list goes on. At this point one of my first post of the new year is going to be about the statistics for the previous month, meaning December 2010.

Seems the girls have their Saint road game on full blast and it's hampering recognition. This vacation thing is a sword with two edges, one is good and one is bad.

I bet you didn't see that, what??? I was on the phone for about 25 minutes with my mother, chit chatting away about anything and everything... We even came close to a war of ideologies and then the old devil she is, she pulled a switcheroo on me. You've got to love the woman!

See you  on the funny papers...

This & that

Hello!

How is everyone doing?

My wheelchair is partially broken! The switch that controls the tilt mechanism is broken so the chair keeps on tilting every time I stop. I will have to call the CMR so that they either send some one or they give me a quick appointment to fix this issue.

BTW, I wanted to say thank you for breaking last month pageview of 1343, this month as of today you have pushed the counter to 1417 pageviews, so I think it is safe to say that you will go above 1500 this month, once again thanks!

Now that we are nearing the end of the year, I will let you into my next pet project I will be undertaking this coming year, I will write a book. I know what you're thinking and I probably share the same critic that you have: A blogger you are but a writer?!?

Look, this might be a personal book that will never see the New York Times list of book to read, it might just be a folie of mine but once it is complete you will be one of the first to know. Should it ever become something commercial, I will share the news with you.

Remember, I have lots of time to kill...

Happy last week of the year 2010!

KFC and the vampire

Hello!

House of the treating you so far?

My mother, God bless her soul, provided me with nourishment for this afternoon. My daughter and I were treated to KFC meals, my wife is out working so she asked me if we wanted to have Kentucky fried chicken for lunch. So what's a mortal to do? I said yes, we would love to have KFC for lunch, so my older brother was going to be getting lunch for her and was order to buy some lunch for my daughter and myself. Boy was that a finger licking good! I love the colonel and his 11 secret herbs and spices!

But having said that, I'm happy. Ever since December 21st the days have been getting longer slowly but surely. A couple of days ago the sunset was programmed to be at 4:12 PM, today it's 4:30 PM and although not sunny outside is still clear and this will be going on and on until June 21st when we will reach the longest night of the year.
While I was eating KFC with my daughter, we started to see the movie twilight, yeah I know again, but we were debating with a master of vampires was. I told her about Anne Rice and how loss of her bonfire Chronicles series are showing up on the twilight saiga movies: vampires coming from Egypt, the eternal angst of Edward... If you are not familiar Louis the vampire had the same problems as Edward did, drinking animal blood... Louis used to drink rats blood instead of human blood. So I think I have trigger my daughters mind into reading Anne's Rice vampire's books.

Just wanted to share with you how my afternoon had been going.

China and diappers

Hello!

How are we doing this fine day, less than one week away from 2011?

So I was watching football today seeing that the playoffs are right around the corner and I got fed up and stop watching it. Why? Well Fox sports is advertising the Washington Redskins versus Jacksonville but they are passing the game of San Francisco versus another team, shows you how much I care about that game that I don't even remember who they're playing against.

So I decided to do different things with my time, I set up my wife's invoicing system, she's getting customers that would like to have an invoice of the work she does, I set up an automatic savings plan because my oldest daughter school, fourth grade, it's going to be going to China in the year 2012 and they are asking parents to come up with $2500 dollars. It's a lot of money but is going for a good cause, my daughter's education and horizon broadening. There isn't much I wouldn't do for them, my daughters and/or my wife, today I was overhearing a conversation between my wife and her sister, my wife was telling her sister on how when she came to Canada with my daughter she only had five diapers and apparently I asked her how many diapers did she had, she shyly answered that she only had five and I went out and purchased a box of 100 and plus diapers. She remembers things like this, very small insignificant things at least to me. When I did this, I did it because she is my daughter after all and being the only person that could work at the time I stepped up to the plate for her and my daughter, now that I can no longer work and that I need help for every single thing, she's stepping up to the plate to provide me with everything that I can longer do.

So me saving up for my daughter's strip is just another way to show them that daddy will always face the music for them and it's something I do with all my pleasure seeing that they are the ones that will be inheriting this earth.

However the week people and thanks for reading my blog!

Aim for the stars

Hello!
How was part I of your holidays?
So today was the day that Chuck Guzman was giving his gifts to the people that makes his life easier. A couple of wine bottles here, a couple of chocolate boxes there and a Tim Horton's gift card for the janitor that keeps my patio free of snow.

But this gift card came with a Christmas card, a very pecular card that my wife bought because it looked nice. So what did the card say baby? I don't know she said, it was in French. But she said that it would be nice to put the gift card inside for the janitor. So I agrred, it would be nice. Let me what it says:
- "I hope this helps make your dreams come through"

I told my wife that maybe it would be good just to give the gift card. My wife asked me why. I told her that I didn't think that $15 dollars from a coffee shop was going to help the janitor achieve his dreams!

Many wishes to you my e-readers!

Beeping Santa

Hello!

How are you doing? Did Santa bring you what you wanted?

Well the girls were quite nice with me today, they came down at six o'clock in the morning so it wasn't that bad. Their mother came down also with a video camera she was going to film the event for posterity and see if there was any leftover gifts under the tree.

The girls got what they wanted, but the most expensive presents are not the ones that always hit the mark. What is really hot this day around my house is a new addition to the family, that's right, the Guzman's are now complete. We got the mommy, the kids, the dad and a couple of rodents: Yuki and Gigi. Plus they have their new houses, the habitrail modular houses... They're made of plastic and they're tubular, meaning that you could connect them both together if you wanted to..

Another gift that hit the spot this year was the neo-cube, one thounsand little magnetic round things that you can make into any shape.

So beep the Itouch, screw the face-to-face and video recording availability. I want to play with the box!

Night cold medecin margaritas

Hello!

Hope your Christmas was/is a good one!

So I went to the Mexican diner dash and we hate like porkers, it was good. I had the chicken burrito, with a straberry margarita, half a litter of sangria and mexican fried icecream...Yum! Best food I have had in a while!

Then after the meal we did our gift exchange and the kids were happy!! My bus was suppossed to pick me up by 8PM, it was late 45 minutes and my legs were frozen!!

Now we're preparing the gifts for tomorrow morning, the kids will run down the stairs and open the presents. They will be enjoying them all day long!!

And so finishes an MS Christmas night, with my wife wrapping gifts and yours truly blogging from his bed high on Nyquil and straberry margaritas on his system...

Long may you run...

Joe Fraser

Hello!

So what are your plans for Friday night?

So I was reading the book that came with my grill and it came with a couple of recipes that sounded interesting and I might ask my wife to try it with me. But then my head started to come up with my own recipes, like the bacon grill cheese sandwich or the frech bread grill cheese sandwich...oh yeah! I love my present, why I took so long to ask for one of this things I have no idea!

I could also grill fruit to have with french vanilla ice cream, I know that peaches go well, what about grill bananas?? It's worth a try. I think that for my birthday I will have a sandwichthon party with different types of sandwiches and grilled fruit!

Do you know what you guys are getting??

Little devil

Hello!

My oldest daughter is happy because her snoopping around the house made her discovered the hide out of a present, the bad news is that is not hers! So she feels that she has the right to discovered one of her gift. Yeah sure thing kids and the tooth fairy will come for your thoot tonight.

So tomorrow is the big day for us, Mexican food, first wave of presents and straberry margaritas!!! Yes, last time I went I tried the mango and something margarita, not impressed. But tomorrow I will go straberry, maybe it's better...I will let you know.

My cold is still there, but I guess I'll survive, if I can survive H1N1, the common cold should be a breeze!

Ok people, if you party during this season, be safe. Look at me, no drinking and wheelchairing!

My wishes to you

Hello!

How are we today?

Sorry about me being absent all day long but this cold has debilitated me a bit, this happened often with MS patients, an infection, a cold, temperature changes and other factors tend to bring MS patients strength down.

Seeing that this is going to be one of my last blog before the fat guy comes, I would like to extend to you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a superduper new year! Remember that 2012 will be the last year according to the Mayan/Aztec/Celts/send people theory of evolution, in other words I don't think anything is happening for that year, maybe 2029 when mother nature will send us an enormous asteroid heading our way. But in the meantime enjoy 2011 and may God/Buddha/anybody provide you and yours with an awesome year.

This is the wish that my family and I extend onto you and yours.

The crew

See you later!

Pre-Christmas jitters

Hello!

How are we today?

Well I had something planned this morning for you guys but I had an emergency again with the nurse of the CLSC, they came to assist me with the freaking catheter again.

But let me tell you about my Christmas present, as I said, I had to talk some sense into my wife for her to let me open my Christmas present. I mean, if she could open hers before time I should be entitled to open mine before time also. At the end I was declared the winner and was allowed to open my present, boy are my girls getting a good example, I can see their future families and how they will be asking to see their presents before 25 December.

But that being said, I got my present! I was pleasantly surprised that she was able to find a Panini grill, not just any grill, a George Foreman grilling station! Cool! Today, I had my first grilled sandwich made on that thing, no more butter, no more oil, no more unhealthy fat. And you know what, it sucks! Eating healthy sucks! What old Chuck did was that he pass the butter stick on the grill bread to give it flavor. Now I understand the chefs on the food network channel when they say that fat gives the food flavor, so my second sandwich I told her to make it just like she used to, meaning put butter on the outside of the bread. I guess I'm not a healthy nut...

Gift 2010

So that's my first post of the day, now I will wait for my bath.

potential problem

Hello!

How are we this day?

So yesterday I said to myself that my girls were getting old enough for me to have the conversation about the potential separation of mommy and daddy. Don't go ballistic on me everything is hunky Dory at my place, it's just that I have always been someone who looks in the future and prepare himself for it accordingly.
Well I was wrong! They told me they didn't like the idea, I tried to make them look at the good side of it: two Christmas presents, two birthday presents, two houses, two of everything. Then they told me what would happen if ever I fell in love again. I've tried to explain to them the difference between daughter and parents love, something that will never end and could never be broken, and the love between mommy and daddy, I told them that yes there was a possibility that I could end up with somebody else and mommy also. But I told them that the person could never take the place of a mother but rather she would become a friend. After a brief pause they asked me if mommy could then have another person in her life, I told them that yes mommy was entitled to have another relationship with another girl. Then they asked me why a girl, I told them that once you go with Chuck you ain't going back!

For the record, we did role-play the situation but this was because my oldest girl brought it up, you know one of those stupid conversations that kids like to have once in a while. But for the record I'm still madly in love with my wife and Marjorie it's only a pigment of my imagination that is filthy rich and likes big chunky guys on wheelchairs.

Happy trails!

Boy oh boy!

Hello!

No! No stories about Guisseppe and Gregoria! I made a promise to my wife to stick to my life.

So 2 days to go till we open presents!! I wonder what I'm going to get?? I can tell you that my wife came with my present tonight but I'm opening it tomorrow because I pulled the old You open yours, I can open mine!! Then my daughter got into the game, I told her that only parents could play this game, that she should considered herself lucky that we are letting her open her gifts on the 25th of December, she then fell quiet.

Happy days people!

The dude

Hello!

Doing speech recognition while 2 pree-teens are in the house is a big no no. The volume on the game console has gone down but their galloping up and down the stairs looking for something sweet to eat doesn't really help when dictating to the machine, so I switched to my Itouch.

So my meeting was canceled it wasn't tutored that cancel it but rather me, I wasn't going to learn anything anyways, so I would have been just wasting her time, nothing major to discuss, oh yes yes, I am getting sick, seems I am catching a cold. Lots of sneezing and a bit of a runny nose, bummer just before the Mexican dinner, I hope I can make it.

Big news at my household, my wife called and said to stop annoying Victor with me calling him with a wrong name every time I mention the electro-magnetic guru... she claims that every name I have mentioned on my posts is not even close to what his real name is, she said the guy is from a Jewish background...ok I will call him zachariah or Jacob...his name is really complicated! But shouldn't my wife get insulted if I don't remember her sister's name? And I remember her sister's name real well, it is a very beautiful Mexican name I think it starts with a letter T, I want to say Tequila but then again there's also Tomasa... Well I guess my wife is going to scream. What else is new?

Well enough said for this post, including on this post is a picture of the electro-magnetic guru so that you know who I'm talking about when I mention his name Jacinto.

Star log Christmas 2010

Hello!

Good whatever to you and yours!

Sorry for the lateness, I was having a bath and the person giving it today was a bit chitter chatter and I'm not the one who's going to tell them to stop talking and concentrate on what they are doing. No, they are very friendly bunch and very serviceable.
I've been playing around with the RT64 and the function I am most impressed with is the telephone, I find that controlling the TV wit it is very slow, I think I will mention this to the lady that's going to come this afternoon. Oh yeah, turning on and off the Christmas tree is awesome! As for the electric light switches, I'm still planning on how I am going to ask Raul for it, maybe I'll let the holidays pass and then invite them over for some leftover tamales and lukewarm chocolate.

So my girls are in the house today and if I need to scan, print, a glass of water, anything, I'll just have to yell and ask for it. Actually I think they hide from me upstairs and when I yell my lungs off I think they deliberately ignore me, they come down apologetically saying that they didn't hear me, my ass! But I'm sure that Santa is going to keep this for next year's Christmas presents list. My leg is acting up again today, I already took two painkiller pills and I'm pretty sure I will take two more common 1 PM.

Beeping girls, they have Halo three full blast up there and is interfering with my voice-recognition. Stupid teenagers!

See you after my meeting.

What next?

Hello!

Happy happy, joy joy!!

How's the e-gang doing??

Well, so I got my RT64, what next? While talking to the technician of the product the occupational therapist and I found out that this gizmo could also control the computer ie...the mouse! This is something that is interesting because the CMR is looking for a solution for me that is expensive and I might not be eligible, so they will be studying this pass the Christmas season.

I can safely say that I got the hang of the gadget fairly fast and I can't wait for the rest of the things to be implemented so that I will then be completly robotized! One thing for sure all of these gadgets are pricey: the wheelchair 12k, the bed 2k, the lift system 3k and the RT64 8k. All in all we are looking at 25k, close to the price of my car!!! I will have to contact my insurance company to increase my insurace limit.

Well that's my evening post, I will see you mañana and keep you posted on when my best friend Juan comes and set up the electric switches, oh yeah, I have to change the light bulbs because the eco friendly bulbs that I bough during earth day pledge night will not work with the RT64...not an eco friendly product...

Adios mortals

They call me god!

Hello!

So I survive a 2+ meeting with the technician, 2 occupational therapist and some one who was doing the dirty work, placing cables, installing things left and right, the work force of the group. There was a lot of beeping, trying stuff, asking questions but when it was finished, I was the proud owner of an RT64+. My girls are impressed by everything it can do, they say I must think I'm some sort of god.

This was a turn key solution, when they left I could turn on or off my Christmas tree, REALLY!! the only thing pending is that I have to have a proffesional electrician install the electrical switch to control the light. That's fine, remember the Mexican boxing day lady with the cute baby and the no good husband? No, she doesn't know beep all about positive or negative but her no good husband, that  will now be known as my best friend, is a certified electro-magnetic guru, good old Rashid or Robert, whatever his name is. I will name my next kid after him, zit face!

Nonbeliever believer

Hello!

I was going to write something depressing about Mexico's situation but my little brother came to give me lunch and he made me laugh about good old days when he used to have it against the big guy up there. Yeah, he always challenged him to a throwdown or asked him to prove his existence. As a nonbeliever believer, my little brother is quite all right. Before getting paid for what he does now, feed me and clean me, he used to do it for free coming every afternoon to feed me and make sure I was okay.

I think that us going to several Catholic services made us what we are today, all the experiences we had when we were young has made us into nonbeliever believers, all five of us. My older brother successful as he is and knowledgeable in the art of diplomacy knows when to and to whom to present himself as a firm Catholic believer. But my other brothers and I know better than that, after all it was my oldest brother that led us down the road of perdition with his books that opened our eyes. Yes, even me that was going to be a priest was detoured by the diplomatic skills of my older brother. But it is my youngest brother that always makes me laugh with his tenacity against society and his doubt fullness of everything that shines.

Well people, I expect the CMR to come here any time soon now and we will be going over the RT- 64 and the usefulness it will have in my life.

Live long and party!

Mexican dinner

Hello!

How are you doing people?

Finished having my bath and I'm ready for my first information post. As mentioned on last night's post there was another potential brouhaha regarding Christmas at my household and it was all generated by me or so I was led to believe. But at the end it didn't materialize, what I thought would have happened, happened, so there's no need for me to elaborate on the matter since it didn't happen.

So my Christmas card was a success yesterday, my daughter liked it so much that she had me printed out this morning so she can show it to her English teacher and her friends. I also got a comment on this stating that it was a good idea but that I needed to work on it since there were several holidays missing, including some of the Jewish faith. So what am I doing this morning? That's right, I'm reworking my card, it's going to take me a couple of minutes to have a more suitable card for all occasions.

And this afternoon the CMR is coming over I wonder how powerful is that RT-64, will it really change my life? I guess we have to wait and see what the whole noise is about.

So today is T-minus three days to go until the Christmas Mexican dinner... Chimichangas here I come!

Midnight snack

Hello,

Well, it's my fault I'm awake, I took a quick nap between 8 and 9 PM so now I'm paying for it. It's ok, gives me time to update you on tomorrow, I had completly forgot to do this, so here it goes.

Tomorrow the CMR is comming to install the RT-64, the device that will allow me to control different things with the click of a switch. I don't know for how long will the technician be at my house installing the device, I will have to install the new light switches to be able to control the lights. Wenesday I will be having a tuttor regarding the RT-64 come over and teach me what the machine does, I will keep you posted on how it goes and I will provide you with a picture of the device.

Also, my girls Christmas brake start tomorrow, so I will be having them in the house for the next 10 days.

So if you don't hear much from old nutzoid here you know why...

PS. Today the second melodrama happened in my household. This time it is pointing my way...Details on future post...before Christmas, promise!

The card

Hello!

I did it, I did it! I finally did something useful in this world, I created the perfect card! You know how when you have an event, a celebration where you have to bring the Christmas car, a birthday card, a sympathy card, any sort of card? Well this afternoon I created "The Card", no more buying cards or being labeled as a cheapskate by my nephews, brothers and any other relative for not having a proper card to give to them. This Christmas I will print five of those cards for my nephews and nieces and take out five dollars from their gifts seeing that this is the price for one of those commercial cards. I am almost certain they are going to love it!

You see what happens when you have too much time on your hands? And you guys have to wait until I invent the reusable toilet paper, that's going to make me a millionaire. In the meantime here's a copy of what my card looks like, feel free to use it for your special events.

The card

That's my last post from the computer, see you this evening I hope.

Let me rephrase that

Hello!

So reservations have been done, wait let me rephrase that, I made the call to make reservations and the lady that answered said that her manager was going to be calling me back to confirm the reservation seeing that we are a big group, okay let me rephrase that one too, a relatively large group.

One of the gifts that my wife has gotten for one of my nephews is really cool, it's a mask from Transformers that when you put it on and say something it changes your voice! Cool, super cool! When I was a kid we only dreamt of toys like that, to me this is the best present yet. I mean to be able to change your voice is awesome, the only thing and this is a minor thing, my nephew is pretty big headed for a three-year-old. Why minor you ask? Because if I was the father I would take out the mechanism that changes your voice and play with the thing till the cows come home! It's called MacGyverism and when we were kids we used to do this quite often, from airports that had a bell sound, to changing parts from one bicycle to another. And this is the non-dangerous stuff, we did other stuff that if I wrote about it and some loos...er... blog reader tries to do this stuff I could probably get sued! To that I say good luck, I think my net worth is $5.50, it comes with the territory you know?

So why I was writing my blog the phone rang and it was the manager from the restaurant (that was fast!) telling me that there wouldn't be a problem. So now we are all set up for Friday afternoon to have our Christmas dinner and the exchange of gifts. Now to tackle on New Year's Day, I wonder with what cockamamie idea were going to come up this time around.

So it is set, only two people missing to the restaurant call, my cousin and one brother. Hopefully we will not have the same problems for the new year celebration, let me rephrase that...

Caviar wishes for everybody! (I wonder whatever happened to that show?)

Christmas crisis

Hello!

How are you guys doing today?

Yes I know, but I'm not late. This is my usual Mondays, bath, food, blog and for this time of the year working the schedule of everybody so we can have Christmas dinner at a fancy-schmancy Mexican restaurant, okay not so fancy-schmancy but still Mexican, the Three Amigos!

So this past weekend I had the first Christmas crisis in my household, we were debating I don't know what with my wife when she pulled out her customers bonus gifts, it seems that one of her customers gave her a Christmas card that she wasn't happy with. It seems the wording in the card didn't take her in consideration, it said to Chuck and family instead of her name. I told her that it was normal that these people used to know me before becoming her customer. She was fed up she said and that if they think so little of her and her work she was going to tell them to hire Chuck instead of her and see if he could go up the stairs to clean the rooms on the second floor.

Now now honey, I'm sure it was an honest mistake. I'm pretty sure they appreciate the work you do for them, all your customers do! I told her that it wasn't the card that matter but rather the bonus they had given her, next year she should just take the cash out and ignore the card. I told her how lucky she was that all of her customers give her bonuses, not all of them is cash some of them give her fruit baskets or booze or hair salon passes or nice Christmas cups with fancy chocolate drink preparation. She then agreed that it was the gesture that counted and not the name on the card, but between you and me I do a much better job at cleaning than my wife.

Okay, now I have to call the restaurant to make the reservations for Friday and I will probably take a small nap before writing my second post.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Count down to Santa

Hello!

Good evening/morning/afternoon!!

We got only 2 more gifts to go, it's time to start preparing the enveloppes for the older nieces and nephews but the cash part will be inserted when I get paid, yes even dissable persons get paid, at least in this country.

Oh yeah, our get together will probably take place in a tex-mex restaurant near my place. It's the result of my older brother's request to hold the get together earlier, after talking with my wife we came up with the idea of the restaurant, we are now waiting for the approval of the people to make reservations.

To my 2 hypper active nephews, your parents are going to be happy that we took them in consideration and we got them toys that make a lot of noise. Their parents are going to be happy!!

Have a nice day people!

Kilimanjaro

Hello!

How are you doing people?

I was seeing the MS Society magazine of this month and usually I don't read much of it because I know it's going to be stories of success and articles of positivism. Something that I have learned from my doctors and other people that have MS that each case of MS is as individual as the person who has it. In my case I suffer from extreme fatigue with numbness of the limbs and schizophrenic attitude... Okay that last one is not true but it should be.

Nevertheless, this month had an article that was real interesting, a bunch of people have raised money for the MS Society by going to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. This is awesome, but what a bunch of sissies, I would have tackled Mount Everest! Come on, if you're going to do something for MS why not tackle the highest mountain or dive to the deepest hell hole found on the ocean's floor. Nah, just kidding, thanks guys I bet you guys will have lots of fun while climbing this mountain, you are gonna climb it aren't you? The article doesn't talk much about it, it just tells you that you receive gobs of cash for going to Kilimanjaro but there's nothing said about you guys climbing it... Just making sure!

I'm still working on my famous idea about paving a road up to Mount Everest so that it becomes wheelchair accessible!

Have a nice day!

Spirit of Christmas

Hello!

How are you all doing today? Christmas shopping? Remember to let the cookies and milk for Santa come Christmas eve.

Yesterday we were seeing TV, sixteen and pregnant, another show of my wife that she likes to see because she likes giving advice to the girls on the show even if they can't hear her! It's probably a Mexican thing because I heard my sister-in-law does the same thing, silly Mexicans they still haven't figured out that the TV can't hear you or see you.

Back to the reason why I'm posting right now, as I was saying we were cancel the show sixteen and pregnant, this is about teenage girls getting pregnant and living their life the best way they can, my oldest daughter was seeing the show to when suddenly she let out a loud statement: are they dumb? Why not get an abortion!?! If I was that young and pregnant I would get an abortion!

WTF!? What? Are you kidding me? First of all where have you heard about abortions and what makes you think we will allowed you to do this? If you haven't figured this out yet while you're under 18 in this country you are consider a minor and parents decide what's best for you. If you're pregnant at that age it would be stating that I as a parent would have failed and trust me it's not as easy as it looks on TV. I just want to let you know the ground rules in this house, if at sixteen you are pregnant I would ask you one question and one question only, was this because you were fooling around with your boyfriend? If the answer is positive then there's nothing more to discuss, you're having this baby! If you have been forcefully inseminated, such as a rape, then we will go ahead and abort baby.

That's it, father has spoken! Or so I thought, it seems that kids these days know more about life than we did when we were kids. She started out by saying that it was her body and that her alone can choose what was going to be the outcome of her pregnancy.

Give me a beeping break! We shouldn't be even having this type of conversation, what happened to Barbies and Bratz? I tell you what, if and only if ever this was to happen we will then talk about it but I want you to know that while you are under age your well-being falls on my laps and I will make it so that you stay away from sex for at least 30 or 40 years from now or whenever I'm dead! Then you'll have to face your mommy!

It's gonna be a tough one so I better prepare!

Picture perfect winter

Hello!

Yesterday when I came back, i was waiting for my wife to put me back into the appartment when I realized that it was a perfect time to snap some pictures for you guys. So I did! The time on this pic is about 4:00PM but it looks like it was closer to 6:00PM. Here in winter we set back our clocks 1 hour and we do the oposite in summer so we get to have sunlight until about 9:00PM. Now on the 21st of December will be the longest night of the year, this is when planet earth is the closest to the sun, yup winter in Canada and in the northen hemisphere happens when the world is closest to the sun. The sun's ray hit this part of the world at an angle so it doesn't warm us that much, unlike summer when the sun's ray hit us directly. Also, after the 21st of December the days start getting longer, a couple of minutes each day!!

And now to the pics...enjoy your day/night!

Wheelchairism

Hello!

Happy to see, sorry to part, happy to see again!

So today as I am taking the bus back from the movies this other wheelchair guy approaches and asks the bus driver if he also is picking him up, the driver asked his name and tells him that I am the only one on the list but that he would check with the central to find out what time he will be picked up. The driver start doing research with the central and this guys had lost that person's reservation so there was no trail on when he was getting picked.

Well I was warned by other MS persons that things like this happened very often but these people live in Montreal, I live in the suburbs and in all these years of services given to me I have never had these type of problems. When I go out I feel that I am surrounded by angels. Everyones that approaches me seem to be more curtious and helpful than the last one!! So I have nothing but good things to say about people, everyone is nice to me and I have been blessed in my misfortune.

Or maybe it was a wheelchair thing, I have a top of the line motorized wheelchair and the guy had a normal push-push wheelchair...nah!

Hope the guy got home safe!

Tepito day and the Mexican lady

Hello!

Good whatever to you!!

I was at the movies today, I was seeing Tangle, but I wasn't there. I still had that sour taste in my mouth regarding the grill. After thinking and thinking on what next step I should take regarding the grill incident, it hit me!! Chuck you S.O.B, no offence mom, you're a freaking genious!!! You'll get your grill cheaper!!
That's right folks, in Canada is known as Boxing day, in the US is known as black Tues...er...Friday, in Mexico is known as Tepito day and in the rest of the world is whenever the marchandise gods let you believe you're getting a great bargain!!! My plan is simple go get my grill on boxing day!!

Because of the multitude of people on the stores that day I will not be the one attending such event, nor will my wife who will probably be too tire to attend such brouhaha. My plan calls for someone young, energetic and small enough who could fit into places I only dreamt about, my sister-in-law!! I will play the dissable card to convince her and if that doesn't work I will hand her a $20. If she uses the excuse about her baby I will tell her to bring little J along, such events build character and are more fun when done in family, so bring that no good husband of yours to!

So, what do you think? Worth a try?? I will keep you posted on the adventures of the mexican boxing day lady!!

Only 5 days till the fat guy comes!!

Food of the gods

Hello!

How's are you? Enjoying your weekend?

So tomorrow I amoff to see a movie with my family in the morning and then I will be morose all day long because I didn't get my grill. My wife tried everything she even went to this chinese store that's sells different things and she couldn't find one. She did however brought back different pastries that they make that was really delicious!! I had a bread that had a paste made from beans and it was sweer...Awsome!!! It was heavan and this is coming from a Salvadorian that swears by the bean.

We Salvadorean love our bean but we usually have ithe dark bean salty. To tell the Salvadorean masses, nay to tell the latin american masses that dark beans taste good when they are sweet is like telling them that the chupa cabra can be domesticated!! Wait, that's not right, what I meant to say that it is a sacrilige to do such thing to a food of the gods.

Crisis?? Me??

Hello!

Curse you Futureshop, curse you Best buy...curse you all electroic store!! First you build my desire up just to slam it back down by your evil mignions telling me that the grill I want is out of stock! Where are we, in a third world country where supplies are limited? Do we have to line up to get our rations of bread, butter and sugar? What happened to the fat guy in a red suit with his endless supplies of gizmos and gadgets? Damn you universe!! You have won a battle but the war continues and in the end I wiil be victorious!!

Ever since that TV tech did a half ass job with the installation of my PVR I have been out on the look out for blood! I started already filling up a survey about my satisfaction, not a happy camper, what's nextt?? The kids smell?? Well they are all taking showers tonight!! You don't like my blog?? Deal with it!!

No more mr. Nice guy with MS, get out of my way or I'll run you over with my wheelchair!!

Have a nice day!!

Mele Kalikimaka

Hello!

Have you guys finished your Christmas shopping yet?

My little brother came today and we were discussing the menu for Friday the 24th, we Salvadorans celebrate December 24 and really don't pay much attention to December 25th. I guess we saved that day for recuperating from the party the day before. It was here in Canada that we learned that a lot of people celebrate the 25 December seeing that they considered this to be the day that Jesus Christ was born, I'm not going to go into details but Jesus Christ was born in April but because we have moved around the calendar so much that his birth happens to fall in December.

That being said, we didn't discuss when JC was born but rather the menu for that festive day. Since all of the brothers are now married and have kids we have made it a rule that each family will bring something to the dinner that night. One family could bring the chicken or meat, the other one can make a salad and someone else can bring the pop. I was telling him that he was cheapskate because his wife wanted to bring this year rice and potatoes: she wanted to make a rice dish and a potato salad. I told him that I found that very redundant, that perhaps she could make the salad but bring something else instead of rice. But we both came to the conclusion that we have to get a move on for the menu, I think I will be putting the finger food and perhaps the desert, oh yeah and maybe the alcohol to. We are not heavy drinkers but my little brother and I like to have a bit of alcohol to spark up the evening, yeah today alcohol makes us go to sleep early and the dinner will be over by 1:00 a.m. or 1:30 AM tops! It's called old age a you youngsters will one day get there.

Ho ho ho to you and yours!

Weekend fantasy

Hello!

Hope you are all having a wonderful day.

Seems that it's cleaning week, yesterday after I finish putting my post I could hear the snow cleaning machines tackling snow removal operation and this morning my wife had to move the car because there were going to be cleaning the parking lot, in fact I can hear the machines right now. Keeping mind that we haven't received a huge snowstorm yet it has only been different snow showers if you like but they have been adding up on the ground so it's time for the city to clean them up.
My PVR, I'm happy I recorded the first program yesterday for my wife so she can see it later on when she has a chance and hopefully today I will be getting my grill so if everything goes well tomorrow morning I will be having grilled sandwiches for breakfast and I will be hitting the movies to see a film for the family, Tangled.

Okay I have to stop blogging the snow machines are making too much noise and speech recognition is taking a beating.

Happy weekend people!

PS I promise I will take pictures of my toys so you can see what Santa brought to me.

SETI

Hello!

Well I was sound asleep again and I woke up because my computer is making heavy fa noise! Please don't give up on me now I said to myself...you still got years left, let me raise some cash so I can buy a next top of the line pc. I wonder for a while what the problem might be...

Then I realized a couple of nights ago I had downloaded and installed the SETI application, you know the one that helps universities look for extra terrestial intelligent life by providing them with your cpu power. I have always been a fervent supporter of the program by I think the fan of my computer is old or dirty and I will probably have to clean it or change it. So now I'll have to once again find those freaking Zzzz.

Have a great day people!

Ultimate TV

Hello!

That's it?!? That's what PVR is all about? Well it's installed and now I can record programs up to two programs since the receiver has two receptors and best of all I can pause the god damn TV, excuse my French, I guess the girls are going to be happy.

I am happy but the service I got didn't sit well with me, the guy left without having program my TV, meaning I couldn't turn on or off. He was nice enough to show me how to play with the TV codes and let me to my fate, but I was lucky I got it on the first shot so now my PVR is program fully. As I call to ask the procedure to return my old HD receiver an idea came to my head, what if I keep the receiver and give it to my wife so that she may install it on her TV seeing that she has an HDTV? So I called their customer service they told me that I could do that and then they offer me the deal of a lifetime, what if we charge you a dollar extra and you get all the channels that Bell has to offer? Sounds interesting, tell me more about it. So the customer service representative did his mumbo-jumbo and his Einstein mathematics and before you can sing New York New York we had a deal!

He's such a sucker, or maybe it's me!?!

One fine afternoon

Hello!

Had my bath and now I am waiting for my brother to come and feed me, this afternoon I will have a technician from the TV company come and install the now infamius PVR, I hope all the hype is worth it.
I forgot to mention, the next following weeks are going to be bussy, I mean besides the Christmas diner and the new year one that are planned to be held at my place, I will be recieving visits from the CMR and CLSC regarding the other infamous device the RT-64 the device that is going to make my life easier. I will also be attending my quarterly visit with my neurologist on January 4th then everything is clear till the cows come home!

Happy last weekend before Christmas and to my Canadian brothers, boxing day is comming!!

That was a wake-up call

Hello!

How are we today? I am beaming with joy for my wife and let me tell you why on the following lines.

So we are having breakfast this morning when just before she goes off to work she gets a call on her cell phone, immigration Canada! Uh? She immediately puts it on speakerphone just to make sure she understands well, meaning in case of anything I would intervene, so the gentleman is speaking in a Island Spanish, very Caribbean.

He's verifying information about the lawyer we hired years ago, I'm talking when I was still walking, to work on my wife's mother coming over to Canada, so after much mumbo-jumbo my wife asks him the question I have been trying to ask immigration Canada for the longest time, "is it going to be longer for her to get an answer?". Then the surprise of a lifetime comes through the phone: "your mother has been approved, at least at the federal level, but all this information will be forwarded to your lawyer"

Jaw dropped!! My wife was thrilled, I was thrilled, all this time I have tried to get in contact with immigration Canada and they have always shone me down and now they are calling us to tell us that my mother-in-law has been approved and we have to go to the next stage which means getting the provincial government's approval for her to come and reside in this beautiful country!?!
.
Well I am really happy for my wife, she couldn't get a better Christmas gift if she asked. Let's see how things turn out now, I wish her all the best!

Adios!

Confusion

Hello!

Good Thursday day to you!

What happened, why am I posting at this hour?? Well I over dressed for bed and I had to take some layers out so I could sleep better and now Zzzz is gone!!

It's not easy doing this when you got MS, thankfully I can still move my arms so I can use them for a while until the energy is gone. To be honest with you I took some layers out and I saw a watch in the distance that to me it looked like 5:18, but when I took my ITouch and turned it on, it was 3:18AM!! So it was a conbination of heat and brain tricks that drove me to post.

It's not easy being me, I tell you, I don't think I'll be able to sleep anymore, my brain is working at %100 already, so I will probably wait for morning light and my stupid device has just warned me that battery is low and that soon it will cease to work..and me with all these ideas...

Take care write you soon!

Closing time

Hello!

Hope your all are having a wonderful time.

So this is when I start enjoying Christmas, hiding presents so the kids can't find them...and they are going nuts trying to find them! Plus bonus this year, my wife is totally in the dark about her gift so far...AWSOME!

Plus, I really want that grill now, the comercials are killing me, I'm ready to eat grilled something right now and I will be doing Elvis' famous grilled sandwich. Hey, tomorrow I get my PVR, things are looking up, this time tomorrow I'll be pausing left and right!

Well I wish you all a good whatever and if I can't sleep because I dozed off again, I'll post you later.

Life goes on

Hello!

So I'm doing voice-recognition right now, my wife went to get the car as well as do some Christmas shopping and get my little one from school.

So the window fiasco, I ended up paying the insurance deductible of $250 dollars and the rest was paid by the insurance company, a whole $84 dollars. I wonder if my monthly insurance premium is going to go up? Oh well, what can you do?!? Back to Christmas shopping, my wife is going to buy the presents for my mother, her mother and other relatives in the space of 15 minutes, yes they're all getting something simple and relatively cheap.

My mother is a very hard person to buy a present for, in fact this is the first year that she asked for one. Generally she tells us that what she wants from us is for us to love each other, but I think this year she saw that we were getting along anyways, might as well ask for a present. My mother-in-law it's also a bit difficult to get a present for and the other people are easier but somewhat informal presents are for them.
Last night while trying to fall asleep I dedicate it to do research for my family tree, guess what? I confirmed the existence of my great great grandparents and by doing this I also confirm that they were register in my country and therefore not not in Spain like told by my mother and my great uncle. So now I have to tackle the grandmother's side of my mother's mother, maybe they are from the old continent. My wife says that I should stop trying to link Spain with my relatives, I tell her is not to prove that I'm from Spanish descendent but rather to prove my mother right. Once I've done this I have to prove that on the other side of my family, meaning my father, we are or we are not German descendents.

I'm a complicated kind of guy!

See you tonight

Shattered dreams

Hello!
Well that was fast...I called early in the morning to repor the incident my wife dealt with last night, then I call the garage to set up an appointment to replace the window. Easy peasy! Problem solved, my family will not go cold anymore, the man of the house has spoken!!

Broken dream

So why am I posting this late? Because my wife was here and we were talking about everything, kinda catching up with our lives. When out of the blue the question came "what do you want for Christmas?"

Why did she asked?!? I told her that in my state I didn't get exited about getting presents because I couldn't use  them, then it hit me: The grill!! I will get the freaking grill for my Elvis sandwiches. Then I read the coments on the grill I want: pupu caca pipi! I have to go for a better grill that is twice the price.
I'm back in the blue's house...
Later

F$&#%!

Hello!

I was asleep right now when the phone rang, no it wasn't a crazy lady looking for a Filipino Guzman, it was my wife!

Yes my lovely wife calling me at midnight, Montreal time, to inform me that some one had broken the window of the car on the front passenger side!! This pisses me off!!!! I'm going to have to call my insurance tomorrow and arranged it so they can fix the car, my premium is going to go up, great just great!! Now I won't be able to sleep until I don't know what time.

What a begining of the day!!

I'm getting her a...

Hello!

So, I'm getting my wife that thing we talked about for Christmas and I am sure she's going to love it!

- "Er..Chuck, you never told us what it was buddy."

Are you sure? Well it's better that way, my wife reads my blog just to make sure my blogging is Kosher and that I am not having an affair on-line, seriously! She probably believes that this whole MS thing is a set up, that when everyone leaves the house I get up from the wheelchair and call my e-lover so we can have some fun...okay, this is what I wish she would believe but no, she reads my blog because I make her laugh.

She doesn't like surprises and she's been wanting to know what I'm getting her but my lips are sealed, she will have to wait! But I guarantee you she's going to go nuts over this.

Well have fun out there!

Tuesday recap

Hello!

How are you doing this fine evening/morning?

Well I would say the highlight of my day was the call from that lady looking for a Filipino Guzman, unfortunatly I am of a Spanish-German Jewish pedigree...Do I have proof?? No, not yet, but I'm working on it! I've been told this story all my life by my mother and little by little i have discovered truths and facts about other stories, I should have been an archeologist!!

Today I found out that my great great grandmother on my mother's father side was registered in a little town from El Salvador called Sensuntepeque and she was born in 1847, I think, I have been put to bed and have no access to my files...Actually I could but my daughter is doing her homework and it would throw her off if she sees the mouse magically moving. So on that branch I can tell you we are no Spaniards, 3 more sides to look at.

Happy hump day!
