You know how a couple of days ago I posted that I had found the birth certificate of my grand-aunt, the sister of my grandmother? And how she had been registered by somebody else because my great-grandmother didn’t know how to write? Well it didn’t sit well with me that my great-grandmother had registered her other kids but not this one! I even advanced the theory that my great-grandmother had died while giving birth… Boy was I ever wrong! Yesterday evening I found a book with the deaths of 1908, the year in my grand-aunt was born. I went through it and when I got to the month of May I paid extra attention; suddenly a name caught my attention: Gabriela…
My mother has always told us the story of one of my grandmother’ sisters and how she had died while being a young kid. Holy shi!!.... I thought….. Lo and behold I had found out the death certificate of my grandmother's sister: Gabriela.
So something did took place in 1908 days before my grandmother's other sister was born that shook my great-grandmother: the death of a daughter. Then I kept on digging and found other interesting stuff…The death certificate of my great-grand mother…but that’s another story for another time….
