Chick peas anyone?

Hello!

Long-time no speak….

I am posting today because something funny happened at the food buying place….

I was sent by my lovely, talented and confused wife to buy food for us to cook dinner…. She didn't leave anything out for us to prepare; so I put on my hunting apparel and off I went. It was a nonchalant run: spear some sausages, trap some apple strudel, hunt down some garbage bags… same old same old…. But then there was the chick peas issue; I couldn't find them! So looking around I saw this brand that we never use in the international shelves.. Pricey too, a whole $1.79, my wife is going to have a heart attack if she find out; I took it but kept on looking. I did good to snoop some more, there they were in a place completely unreachable to me… “Bugger!” I said to myself, I had to get help. After a couple of minutes of looking at the cans and trying to levitate myself to where they were, cause it’s going to happen one day, this lovely family Came by and reached a can for me…I thanked them and went on my way with a full bag of groceries…..the limit of what I can carry really….Suddenly folks, I hear somebody yelling: “Wait!”.. Question marks popped inside my head, it was the man who had gotten me the can of chick pees informing me that there was a no-name brand special.. So he provided me with a can of the no-name brand and I thought that was it but it wasn't… he made me followed him to show me the special: 5 cans for $1.00… fuck me I can’t, I  had no space to carry 5 cans! He insisted and there was no arguing with him, I had to carry them; so I got to the cash register with more than I could carry. It was going to be a bumpy ride back home….Needles to say that this man was from Arab origins where chick peas are part of their diet and I guess he wanted me to make them part of mine…. The guy was carrying 20 cans of them; there was no maximum limit on this item…..

Take care folks…

PS over the years that people have helped me I have categorized them into 2 groups: the passive helpers that will give you what you need and them drift back into anonymity and the active ones; the ones that will usually ask you if you need something else before they go… I take it the gentleman wjo helped me falls into a completely new category that I will call: The pro-active helper….border line stalker…….
